    Denver [email protected]

The Nuggets have been close every game this season but haven’t found a way to close the match out. In 3 out of 4 matches the Nuggets have actually looked like the better team for three quarters, but then in the fourth become cold or just missed some luck in crucial game moments. Tonight the Nuggets will try to finally enter the win column when they open a three-game road trip against Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers are probably the easiest targets to catch during this trip and Denver is in no position to take any team lightly, not after three close losses to start the season. Missing Kenyon Martin doesn’t make theit job easyer but fortunately they are deep enough down low to overlive his absence.

The play of the 76ers still feels like a one-man campaign against its opponent. Of course Allen Iverson is playing really well but he’s still not getting a whole lot of help. The latest loss against the Raptors was another good example of that. Iverson had 35 points and 10 assists but his team still came up short at the end. Keep in mind that Philly shot 49 percent (Toronto shot 40 percent) and outrebounded Toronto 53-45 but still lost the game. Its hard to see much room for quick improvement there.

Tonight we expect the Nuggets to come out and play with a lot of energy and get over the hump and get their selves rolling again. The Nuggets are better than what they have been doing lately and will definitely want to reclaim their pride playing against the 76ers. Philadelphia, as usual, needs to get more inside scoring. And that's difficult to do against the Nuggets stronger frontcourt with Camby, Nene and Anthony. Moneyline with medium stakes.
