    Shaun Alexander - RB, Seattle Seahawks 9/25/2006

    Shaun Alexander has a broken bone in his foot that was described as a "non-displaced fracture". He is expected to miss at least a few weeks and will be replaced by Maurice Morris until he can return.

    Chris Simms - QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9/25/2006

    Tampa Bay quarterback Chris Simms is listed as out indefinately after sustaining a ruptured spleen in Sundays game against Carolina. Simms, who underwent surgery immediately after the game for the injury is recovering. "He's going to be just fine. ... His football career is in no jeopardy," Gruden added. "There is a chance he can come back and play this year."

    Vince Young - QB, Tennessee Titans 9/25/2006

    After three straight losses and lackluster performances from starting QB Kerry Collins, the Vince Young era in Tennessee may start sooner than anticipated. A source close to the Titans has indicated that Young could likely start as early as Sunday in the Titans next game against the Dallas Cowboys.

    Chris Henry - WR, Cincinnati Bengals 9/25/2006

    WR Chris Henry caught 5 passes for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns Sunday as the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the defending Super Bowl champions 28-20. "We planned on coming back this year and beating Pittsburgh two times," said Henry, who caught Palmer's other two TD passes among his five receptions. Henry was injured and helped off the field but later returned to the game.

    Braylon Edwards - WR, Cleveland Browns 9/25/2006

    WR Braylon Edwards caught 5 passes for 116 yards and 1 TD Sunday in the Browns 15-14 loss to the Ravens. The touchdown reception was a 58-yard bomb from Charlie Frye in the second quarter.

    Mark Brunell - QB, Washington Redskins 9/25/2006

    Washington QB Mark Brunell set the NFL consecutive completion record when he completed his first 22 passes of the day to lead the Redskins to a 31-15 win over the Texans. The previous record of 21 straight completions was held by Rich Gannon of the Raiders against the Broncos in 2002. Brunell completed 24 of 27 for 261 yards and 1 touchdown pass on the day.

    Donte' Stallworth - WR, Philadelphia Eagles 9/25/2006

    Eagles WR Donte Stallworth was surprisingly held out of the game on Sunday with the San Francisco 49ers due to a hamstring injury that was to that time reported as only minor. Stallworth, who has looked good for the Eagles so far this season was replaced by WR Reggie Brown as the main target in the Eagles offense.

    Matt Hasselbeck - QB, Seattle Seahawks 9/25/2006

    Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck threw 24/33 passes for 227 yards and 5 TD's Sunday in the Seahawks 42-30 win over the N.Y. Giants. The 8-year pro from Boston College also threw 3 interceptions in the game.

    Maurice Drew - RB, Jacksonville Jaguars 9/25/2006

    Rookie running back Maurice Drew-Jones showed a solid outing against a good Colts defense on Sunday in a 21-14 loss to Indianapolis. Drew-Jones rushed 13 times for 103 yards and a (7.9 average per carry) in the game. He also caught 4 passes for 32 yards and a touchdown as the backup running back for Fred Taylor in the Jaguars offense. What was even more impressive was that Taylor was not injured and Drew-Jones got these numbers spelling Taylor in the offense.

    Brian Westbrook - RB, Philadelphia Eagles 9/25/2006

    It was a big day for Philadelphia running back Brian Westbrook as he carried the ball only 8 times for 117 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. He also added 4 receptions for 47 yards and another score as the Eagles beat the 49ers 38-24.

    Odell Thurman - LB, Cincinnati Bengals 9/25/2006

    Troubled Cincinnati LB Odell Thurman was arrested on new charges due to driving under the influence. Thurman, a second year starter from the University of Georgia, was already serving a 4 game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The arrest is "certainly a concern since he recently was suspended, but this is an entirely new case," Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said Monday.

    Javon Walker - WR, Denver Broncos 9/25/2006

    WR Javon Walker showed his talents Sunday night as he caught 3 passes for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Broncos 17-7 victory over the Patriots in New England. Walker, acquired in the offseason to bolster the Denver receiving corp, has been coming back from a severe knee injury that ended his 2005 campaign with the Packers. "We took it upon ourselves for everyone to be liable for their mistakes, step up when it's time to step up," Walker said. "You know, just listen to the game plan and come out here and make plays."

    Brett Favre - QB, Green Bay Packers 9/25/2006

    Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre showed Sunday why he will be a future Hall of Famer when he threw for his milestone 400th career touchdown pass. The 16 year veteran signal caller completed the record setting touchdown pass when he hit Greg Jennings on a 75-yard strike. Favre would 25/36 passes for 340 yards and 3 TD's on the day as the Pack would win the contest 31-24 over the Lions. "We needed a win a lot more than I needed 400 touchdown passes," the three-time MVP said

    Vernon Davis - TE, San Francisco 49ers 9/25/2006

    Rookie TE Vernon Davis was injured Sunday trying to chase down lineman Mike Patterson for the Eagles after he recovered a Frank Gore fumble at the 1 and ran 98 yards for a touchdown. Davis cracked a bone in his leg and will be out at least 4 weeks while the injury heals. "I was trying to tackle him and I just pulled up," Davis said. "I didn't make any contact. I felt something and just fell down."

    Frank Gore - RB, San Francisco 49ers 9/25/2006

    RB Frank Gore was injured Sunday when he attempted to stretch the ball over the goal line to score a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles. The injury was listed as a strained abdominal muscle and makes Gore questionable for the 49ers next game against Kansas City. The second year running back out of the University of Miami finished the day with 16 carries for 52 yards and caught 6 passes for another 22 yards.

    Love this kind of info, Postman....As far as I concerned, this is what this site should have more of.........By the way, ESPN is reporting (as I'm sure you've already seen) that Matt Leinart is expected to start for the Arizona Cards this week in place of Kurt "Fumble Boy" Warner.......Keep it coming.
