  • Devin Harris points in Game 1

    Harris over/under 9.5 points

This is an obvious mistake by 10bet.com, there is no need to hold ourselves back here.

Yes, 10bet is absolutely correct - indeed Devin Harris has scored 9.9 points as an average in this season. His average in play-offs is also 10.1 points per game, but you have to look at the real facts here. Most importantly Devin Harris wont see much of a playing time not only in this Game 1, but also in this series. The reason is Dwyane Wade. Avery Johnson needs a defensive specialist to guard him, so he will most probably insert Adrian Griffin to the starting line up. Also Jerry Stackhouse will get minutes as 3rd option to the guard position, so most likely Devin Harris is only number 4 option for guard position (maybe even 5th after Marquise Daniels).

That all means that he will be used to give rest minutes to Terry and will play around 10-15 minutes. That is hardly enough to score 10 points. Although Harris had a great play-off series against the Spurs (Avery Johnson used him to rip apart the Spurs defense with the drives) already against the Suns Devin Harris got by far less minutes. He has stayed below 10 points in 6 of last 8 games.

Bottom line here is Harris`es minutes. Although his play-off and regular season average is 10 points per game it would take serious foul trouble, injuries or anything else unexpected for him to see more than 15 minutes. This time is surely not enough for him to score 10 points, so we will take Devin Harris under 9.5 points with full confidence.
