  • CRIS- not what they used to be

I just got booted from CRIS today, something I never thought would happen with such a dominant book in this industry. They are not the top of the heap in the offshore world anymore. To boot a player for just bdeing sharp is luducris. There reputation just took a big blow.

Now that one really shocks me. Could there be more to it than that (the reason you got the boot)?

If books like CRIS start picking and choosing players, the whole industry is in a mess . . .

Nothing more to it. it wasn't just me, it was a few players from the same package. Nothing more to the story, just didn't want our business anymore. They talki a big game, but it just shows me they are not as strong as everyone thinks. If your a strong bookmaker you know how to earn money off your sharp players. Booting them is like throwing away money.

I agree, unless there's something else to the story. Forgive me for being so skeptical, but this is the first time I've heard such a story. Were several of you trying to play the same plays at the same time?

Isn't it true the players didn't get booted BUT YOUR AGENT DID which includes the credit players.
THey would take your action if you post up cash with them.

It just seems fair why would cris give a cutback to the agent IF the players are giving sharp action.

That would certainly make sense. Giving a fee to an agent would amount to giving an ongoing bonus.

While it may make sense, it's interesting because it's not something they would have done in the past. They have tons of sharp credit action. Why signal out this package??

Why would they give away the store. Dealing to sharps and rebate is to much. Let them continue to be a leader in PAYING FAST

I heard they just wanted to workout a different deal. Maybe a little bit less then before. Maybe this crew was greedy.

Maybe this credit package all players hit the same game at the same time to TO BEAT THE MAX on a game

Maybe the agent lied about what kind of action he was giving

                  We don't know

BUT WE DO KNOW THEY PAY

True.....no sense in giving away the store. My comments aren't meant to insinuate anything other than that it's just odd that they single out this package. I imagine they have other packages with the exact same figures that they haven't ended.

But yes, they pay and always have......

They may single out this package for a good reason.

1- maybe they are a new package
2- maybe they promised no wiseguy plays
3- maybe all the players are 2,3 or 4 times banging the same hot game at the same time and it maybe all 1 person action only

We don't know the true details

I guarantee if cris kicked this agent out for what ever reason

99.999999% of other books would of done it sooner

Just what constitutes wise guy play?

If Cris has a total line on a ball game at 8.5 over -130 and another book has 9 -120 and i wager 2000 over @-130 and 2500 under @-120 is this wise guy play? Please help me with this question.

Wiseguy play seems to cover alot of ground. Depends on the book, but usually it's a player who is moving games for a group or one of the few originators or a player who is a limit player and always taking the best numbers.

Unfortunately some of these mickey mouse books lump all kinds of players into the wiseguy category, including the mindless screen followers who race around like chickens with their heads cut off chasing numbers everytime there's a move.
