Misleading Promotions Yahoops.com
I know we all get all the promotional mail in our respective boxes but is there anyone out there that is as tired as I am of always finding out there is always a "catch" that is never explained or even mentioned until you go to take them up on their offer? Today I receive an email from yahoops.com.... saying you are awarded a FREE $25 account just for signing up at our site .... now listen i know you dont get anything for free but that really is not the point.. they go on to saying there is NO PURCHASE required ...now that to me would imply i should not need my wallet ......I go to sign up for the account put in all my demagraphics of where i live my name my email ... and then it comes up " please give us a credit card # that we will deduct only $1 from only to ensure to protect against credit card fraud and multiple accounts for the same member. OOOOK now that entails me going to my wallet....
Does this not bother anyone else im realy curious .... so to make things even more fun they have a live chatline to ensure the best customer service and so that there is no mistaking or misleadings on my behalf i took the liberty of copying the exact conversation I had with a customer service represenative and now you can descided for yourselves whether you would want to be associating with this organization or not

Kay: We need the credit card information for verification purposses and also to stop members from opening more than one account.
you: ok so i f i dont have a credit card ..... then i cant take advantage of the promotion that you sent me....and further more is there not another way to verify the exact information by a simple email database I mean lets be serious now .. and im not frustrated with you but have you any idea how many of these i receive in my mail not that i ask for them though on lly to find something is not exactly what they advertize?

So if the card information is not submitted you can not qualify for this promotion. you: no im sorry but if your company can not be upfront and honest in a simple promotion mailing ... then how in the world am i trusting you with one my credit card # an two my real money .... your advertizement specifically says no deposit required and yet whether it be a dollar or not that is exactly what you are requiring .... it is more than a little devious if you ask me

you: and so that justifies your misleadings i suppose well i dont know many i a member of a few forums and you can be certin that this little experience will not look favorably for any kind of recommendation of my part .... you say it is to keep from fruad and multiple accounts there is no doubt in my mind you have the same abilitites that legitimate casinos offer to verify this ..... but its ironic you are simply protecting against what you promote yourselves

I would like the reaction of all my fellow bettors here so that maybe this company's director can see for themselves that this type of advertizing is not only misleading but actually fraudulant in many ways ... and to show that the reaction of the public does mean something in the long run ....
