    well put stardust.
    the insignificant amounts that are in question have already cost them much, much more. it is a public relations nightmare that they have brought upon themselves. it makes you wonder how many other people they did like this that just shrugged it off and said "screw it"? i wont let it die until i get some resolve or answer from these people or brian tells me that he looked into it and gives me an acceptable reason was i was cheated out of a referral.

      I gotta tell ya - if you called me a liar, cheat and a thief, I wouldn't give you the $50, especially if I didn't feel like I owed it to you in the first place. For Carib to cave in now wouldn't really buy 'em much, since they've already been blasted thoroughly.

      A low key approach through Jeff or Brian would have been the way to go initially, but I think that avenue of resolution is closed now. Yep - I see flagmen up ahead -definitely closed.

      Anyway - what would you say after they paid you? That they were great and you'd tell others to play there to? How convincing would that be on the heels of the other comments. You can't un-ring a bell ya know.

      For what it's worth - they made a business decision (a poor one IMO) and you got your pound of flesh. I don't think there is anything else is to be gained. An unhappy ending to an unhappy tale.

        whether they made good on their word to pay the referral now or not is unimportant and would not change my opinion very much. i will ALWAYS view them as nothing more than scumbags that cheated me. the dollar amount (as i stated earlier) is not the reason for my tirade. i can tolerate many things in life, but being cheated is NOT among them. i have held "active" accounts at several books for many years and do not have a history of being a problem with any of them. i am a smaller wager player, and apparantly at carib the smaller player is not important and can be shit on without consequence. i take offense to that and will continue to make every potential customer aware of their piss poor practices.

            It's a bit puzzling to see a bookie make a fuss over such small change. Bad marketing/pr if you ask me. You provided them with a client so you should get paid.

                I can understand your feelings, but using the BW forum to keep the topic alive isn't really appropriate.

                You've had your say, they took their lumps. I say let it go as far as keeping the topic going.

                  I play at Carib and have for many years. Never had a problem. But I have to say, it amazes me that a book can make payouts amounting to millions over time, but yet run the risk of bad press over peanuts. Makes you wonder who's driving the boat.

                  Maybe these are isoloated incidents??

                    i respect your opinion, and appreciate your having voiced it in this thread over my circumstance. i always thought that a small part of being a part of the BW family was to be able to get a little leverage/assistance when something like this came up. i emailed either brian or jeff about it way back when and i never got a reply so i took it to the forums.

                    i had always heard nothing but good things about carib as well, so that is what made this frustrating for me. i havent gone out on a witch hunt randomly against these folks. i know there are many satisfied customers there, but if i dont air this type of thing in these forums, what else can i do?

                    i was hoping to evoke a response from brian or jeff when they saw that one of their long time sponsors here was taking a beating PR-wise. that just hasnt happened for whatever the reason and i ended up getting stiffed. i merely want it known how i was treated and for every other small player to be aware!

                      I'm dissapointed that neither Jeff or Brian responded to your mail. I know they both get tons of mail and sometimes I have to send things more than once. I also know that email doesn't always make it to the intended recipient.

                      I would have kept mailing until I got a response from them one way or another before I went to the forums. I have a bad temper and at times, I just wanna tear somebody a new ass when they screw with me. Once you blasted them in the forum though, the $50 was never gonna get into your account.

                      Like I said, I'd be pissed too and I agree 100% that you should have gotten the $50 for bringing them a player. I don't care what explanation they care to give as to why they didn't - I disagree with their position.

                      I don't care if a bag lady at Hollywood and Vine brings them a player - they oughta just pay her, even if she doesn't have an account at Carib. A player is a player when he posts up so what difference does it make as to who sent them?

                      I know you're not on some witch hunt and you had a legitimate gripe. I am siding with you, no question. You're also right about them having a lot of satisfied customers. I was one of them for 6 years or so, until I blew out my account. I can say I never had a problem with them in all that time.

                      Of course I never got Carib's side of this story and that's not what I do, or want to do. My moderator title is limited to booting touts and I don't get involved with BW's business.

                      I do know that you've had your say (and your pound of flesh); to continue to use the BW forum to bludgeon Carib is inappropriate.

                      Someone asks about Carib - by all means - chime in and tell them that they didn't pay a bonus you felt you should have received. But to mount a vendetta and give a topic perpetual life by bringing it to the top every so often is inappropriate.

                      Listen, I played at Pinnacle and thought they sucked. I posted a thread that said exactly that. Ok I had my say. Anytime anyone asked about them, I said I thought they sucked, but I didn't keep brining the thread to the top.

                      For all I know Pinnacle changed and addressed the complants that I made. I know that many players who's opinions I respect play there and love them to death. You have to admit their prices are some of the best anywhere, they have reduced juice and a dime line in baseball (I think).

                      Ok so this is the last time I'll respond to this thread. As you can see many people love Carib and are happy there, same as Pinnacle. You and I both disagree with those people (you regarding Carib and me as far as Pinnacle).

                      Vote with your $ and play somewhere else is what I did and I am happy not to be their customer. I'm sure the feeling is mutual in both cases.
