I called an asked them the samme thing. It's not a law, but a company policy. The are supposed to check you out through a credit reporting agency.

You are making untraceable cash traceable . . . . big mistake.
      As Always - Good Luck,

I used to think PrePaidATM was a good way to deposit/withdraw funds. After all, it's pretty convenient to take out cash from virtually any ATM machine in the land. However, there are severe drawbacks:

        1) PrePaidATM stopped accepting Western Union Quick Collects. You used to be able to send any amount for only a $12.95 fee. Now, you have to use the Green form and sending funds to Ohio is VERY expensive.

        2) There is a $500/daily limit and $1500/monthly limit to cash withdrawals.

        3) They have your SSN. This is disconcerting, but due to #2 above, PrePaidATM really caters to the small/mid player anyhow.

I'd like to see a true offshore PrePaidATM-like system. Anyone know of one on the horizon?

          offshore payment solutions

          I've heard recently about:
          http://www.debitcardsinternational.com/
and they tout themselves as an excellent solution...

          BTW they allow non-US customers.

though I searched their website and found that they charge monthly fee $2.95 :-(

may be anybody hear knows more about them?

1)If you link PrePaidATM to your checking account and use EFT's, there is no deposit or withdrawal fee.

2)Actually, the ATM cash withdrawal limit is $500/day $1500/WEEK.

Neteller now requires SSN for all new accounts to be in compliance with the US Patriot Act. It's the new post 9/11 police state we live in now, unfortunately. What few freedoms we have left may be gone soon.

there was another thread here that said there was another card, the gpx card that was the same as prepaid atm, the site, the wording, almost everything. sounds fishy but no one seems to be taking the gpx card unless it is so new it hasn't been marketed yet. but why 2?

Seems like we take two steps forward and three steps back. I'm starting to think this industry would work much better with payoffs taking place via local runners like the old days.

                          AMEN

Except for the large number of people recently rounded up for illegal betting operations.
