CRIS has been shut down!

all the employees have been sent home and they Feds are raiding the entire building people are saying that it is money laundering and it has to do with the canadians that are involved with the brothers.

no one knows what will happen but right now everything is off.

well the clerks are very worried and alot of people dont want to come back there even if it does open up again which some people say they will some say they wont.

a lot of managers are being held for questioning and for other violations of costa rican law now.

cris should be more careful who they rented office space to.

Is this a common thing in Costa Rica? Doesn't make me want to jump to sign up anywhere in Costa Rica. Any more details?

It's not common.....

A few other shops down there have been briefly shut down due to work permits and minor stuff like that.

But if the shop is just bookmaking, and running everything the way they should, there isn't any problems.

The problem with a HUGE book, is that they deal woth so many customers and so much money, that a situation like this is much more likely to happen than with a smaller shop.

It's impossible to always know who you're dealing with and why they are depositing money with your book.

But one thing everyone must remember is that just because a book operates on foreign soil, doesn't make them exempt from raids for whatever reason. Books have been raided/busted in Antigua, The DR, Margarita and so on.
