Bodog is down - WHY ?

I understand software upgrades and maintenance, but a simple email to their clients would be nice. They email all their clients advertisements and stuff, unprofessional for a supposedly professional book.

Also for all the clients the use the internet exclusively there is no way to place a bet on the early baseball games.

Just a rant.

They have been working on it all day. We will notify them to get something out to everyone and will post an estimated time that they will be back in order if possible!

Okay, so they are now up and ready to go.
I called their 888 number earlier when they were down,
was explained that it was totally unexpected ( okay fine will expect that )

Here is the unprofessional side to Bodog, or at least how I feel about it, they took the site down for maintenance, they messed up on bringing back their servers ( hardware, software etc ).

They ( customer service guy I spoke too ) still insisted that the min bet if I used the 888 number was $50 dollars.

Come on, show some freakin courtesy here.


P.S. Good thing its just baseball, but if it was basketball or football I would have been pissed.

i think they should have notified everyone somehow, but if their entire system was down they may not have been able to send out a mass e-mail or may have been frustrated and not thinking to come to the forums.

at least it is now fixed!
