  • BoDog or Olympic?

Which book would you state is better and site easier to navigate thru.

Also has anybody use this Direct Bank Transfer option that BoDog is promoting? That kinda tells me that they can link into your bank account.

Also do either use Neteller? Because I heard PayPal is getting out of the gambling transfer business.

    Any insight would be helpful?

BoDog doesn't get any easier for navigation, everything is right there on one page and they have a great help system. It doesn't look like they take NETeller though. Their Direct Bank Transfer would hook to your bank account, but would be the same as them having your ATM/Visa Check card number.

Olympic has a great site too, is a very solid and reputable book, and they always have a lot of early lines and a lot of betting options. If you're looking for friendly service though, stick with BoDog, they're more likely to take the time to help someone new out.

Overall, I'd go with BoDog, but I am more familiar with them. Either one is financially stable (as close as you can get these days).

Agree with Blowfish , both are good books, I use them personally, OLYMPICS sucks at customer service unless you talk to Spiro directly or maybe one other guy whose name I forget.

Bogdog on the other hand is very professional.

DBT well I want to sign up for that too and did most of the paperwork, dd not however fax the stuff in, with ebank needing
drivers license, routing numbers, bank number.

I figure Western Union $15 transaction fees is good enough for me.

Like their 15 % bonus they are offering to everybody before the football season starts.

I agree with the customer service issue. I've had nothing but bad luck with olympics customer service. I started with email to several addresses which all was ignored. Then the phones, which are hit or miss. I don't think you should have to talk to the owner for a customer sevice issue.

I can't really compare bodogs customer service. I never had to really ever speak or email anyone there.

Bodogs does have a decent bonus package though. It's match play, but still nice to see those extra bucks in your account!

        No neteller for bodog.

        Olympic has neteller.

        Hope this helps!

            Bettorsworld highly reccomends Bodog.......

Bodog is a very professionally run operation with which we have a tremendous working relationship with, which we feel is essential.

They were courteous enough to invite us out to their operation not too long ago and we were very impressed to say the least!

We've been to just about every offshore book in this business to see their operations (never had the chance to go to jamaica) and bodog ranks right up there!

PLUS you can check out their lines on oddswiz.com !!!!

            possum, please email [email protected]

            thanks!!

I never had any problems with Olympic's cs. Petruna does a great job with fast payouts and crediting of deposits.

BoDog has asked us to post this on their behalf:

The reason Bodog has currently decided not to offer Neteller as a payment method is that through eBanx, we are the only sportsbook that directly offers all the payment methods that Neteller offers but in a much cheaper and more integrated fashion so that there is not the extra step for the player of transferring from Neteller to Bodog or from Neteller to the player in a payout. In this way the transactions are in fact much faster and more inexpensive and these advantages are passed on to the player in faster payouts (we do not consider a player having their money in Neteller to be a payout....with all the big companies going bankrupt right now I think the players do not feel they have their money until it is in their own personal bank) and big reload bonuses. We feel our players prefer the bigger reload bonuses and faster payouts combined with cutting out extra steps. Bodog's unique Direct Bank Transfer payment method is the best and fastest way to move money in our industry and once set up is almost entirely invisible to the end user. Bodog is setting the standards in our industry in payment systems and our partner eBanx has been doing payments of this nature for many many years....in fact from many years before PayPal or Neteller even existed. We are also currently running a promotion paying anyone that wants to register for Direct Bank Transfer, sort of like us paying you to get your winnings to you faster, the latest of a long list of Bodog firsts!

We also pride ourselves on simplicity and customer service in all other areas of our business as well. We think that fast navigation of our website is in fact the first level of customer service we offer.

For me NETeller is a much better option than the BoDog direct transfer method because of the limits. At first the limit is $200 per month, then can be raised to $500. I'm able to lose that in just a few minutes . . .

I have no bone to pick in this discussion, but I have done business with Oly in the past with no service problems. They are one of the first, if not the first to post their lines.

ILovesports: If you would always share with us your problems with customer service. One poster did explain his problems, you did not.

I don't know anything about BODog. When did BODOG actually start up as a business? They say 1995, but I can't remember them being around that long.

PS: Jeff, why would you have to post on behalf of BODOG?

ShiftSheikh - I never had a problem with Olympics deposits or payouts, like I said I had customer service issues.

Karol - Thank you for the post and I will email you everytime I have an issue with your phone reps.

Steve Turner - Dude I am not going to share my customer service issues for everyone to see, not my style.

The guy who started this thread wanted to know which book is better and I was stating my opinion.

I have accounts with both, I dont plan on closing either one of them, I like both books but will say that OLYMPIC needs to improve on its customer service and will send an email or ask for Karol the next time I feel slighted or inconvenienced.

Cannot go wrong with either book but if you want me to chose the book that has been around longer its Olympic.

Last but not least I like Spiro.

ILuvSports: Thanks for the reply. The reason I want to know when Bodog opened for business, is because they say on their site 1995. I had never heard of BoDog till last year.

I am sure they are an outstanding book, on THE LIST, but why say 1995 if it isn't.

Again, I have heard all the right things about BoDog and would consider using them. Thanks again, Steve Turner

Oh great just saw that your in texas too....
Bodog I think belongs to a family of sports books but I m not sure .. maybe Skybook and I guess thats why they use the 1995.

Your right about them not being around that long as far as BODOG is concerned, if I m not wrong, they have only been around since late 2000 or 2001.

I pretty sure its a subsidary.

I am always shopping for new outs but when I read about BigBook/BoDog reneging on an advertising agreement with another watchdog site I crossed them off my list.

They stiffed MW for over $5000. MajorWager fulfilled their end of the contract and trusted Bodog to fulfill their end.
Bodog received the product they contracted for, and defaulted on payment. Stiffed them just like they stiffed Mayan sportsbook.

Who's to say when push comes to shove they won't change the rules on their clients? A stiff is a stiff is a stiff.

It's your money, but if your choice is between Olympic and Bodog, there is no choice. Olympic is #1 for good reason. Good luck!

When an website who is charging for advertising gets involved with ownership of another book or misrepresents themselves in any way the contract becomes void. I believe this is the case with Major Wager and BODOG.
