Hmm...I think sending money by western union is safe ( and I m strictly talking IRS ) because there is no revenue trail back to the person.
As far as getting checks from BOOKS to me is not safe but I have no alternative method.
Once again ....the only person I m concerned about ( organisation ) actually is the IRS ( being in USA and all ), other than that I dont give a rats ass and there is no need to be concerned.

I don't know that Western Union is any better. No revenue train in that it's not hooked up to a bank account I guess, but last I checked you needed ID, social security number and what not just to send or receive a couple dimes.
Again, unless you are using a fake name, questions can and have been asked about Western Union transfers.

Can you explain to me what you mean by NOT SAFE.
I used to deal with a professional bookie here in TEXAS and he paid taxes on his bookie buisness, never had an issue, been audited a couple of times but no issues.
Giving Western Union ones SS# and DL to show proof of identity to send money is excessive I know but once again nobody is going to come after you ( If I am wrong correct me ..I am trying to get educated here ).
On recieving funds, yup IRS will most likely be notified.

Well, I had a run in with an establishment that sent Western Unions and had the police called and was questioned extensively about my intentions, but I complained about privacy violations and Western Union took them very seriously.
They only require you to give your SS# for over a certain amount. They're going to ask for identification so they don't get in trouble if someone is doing something illegal. They will report to the I.R.S., but if you are reporting all your activity correctly, then you won't have any problems.
They are more concerned with money laundering activities, and a few grand sent to a sports book (who is never labeled as a sportsbook, just usually a designated person) isn't going to set off alarm bells. USUALLY. Times HAVE changed though.

Dragon's right. If you are looking to avoid that nasty three letter word known as "tax" you better just join the underground economy and keep your money under your mattress. The second you put it in any kind of system or on a piece of paper you can be watched.
