  • New CRIS Building?

Does anyone know if it will be just CRIS in their new building or if they will be renting space to other books as well. If they are renting space has anyone rented yet and if they are hiring?

either way, they don't give buildings away for free. did they borrow the money? are they using players post up money? did RS have the money in his back pocket? (i doubt that). seems risky to me.

Without knowing CRIS' financials I can't really comment on the risk they're taking on with a new building, but you certainly can't assume that it is an irresponsible move. I'd imagine that most growing businesses have to take on some debt to build new buildings, so if that's a sign of irresponsibility then a high percentages of companies in America are irresponsible. There may be some other advantage to getting a loan to build the building that we're not aware of--my parents just built a new office building for their business and even though they had the cash on hand it was better from a tax standpoint to take out a loan to finance it.

With all of the talk about sportsbooks "gambling" with their customers' money, the news that CRIS is building a new office building doesn't cause me to lose any sleep. To the contrary, that's a good sign that they plan to stick around for awhile IMO.

        Well said......

You have to spend money to make money. Plus if they are going to be a "landlord" then what does it really cost them? Surely if the building is state of the art and specifically set up to house sportsbooks that won't have any trouble getting tenants....
