Just to fuurther update......

Del Mar will remain open. They just won't be displaying their lines on Don Best.

The main man, Larry, is steppong down.

that's what they told me when I called too. said one of the guys there now is going to run the show. phone only.

either way, something smells here. they make it sound like he woke up this morning and decided to call it a day.

they closed their internet book a couple of weeks ago without notice. now all of a sudden they close the phones too?

now he's moving to europe?

yeah. ok. whatever. as long as everyone gets paid.

i think there's more to this than meets the eye though. i wonder what they know that we all don't???

they never sent me an email and i was a customer. i had to hear it through someone else. went to their site and saw the message. called and they transferred my money. but no warning. no email. not for me anyway.

The main thing to be said here is hats off to Larry for settling his accounts, and not just screwing people when he closes like so many others.

Are they closing for good or just closing post-up? Seems to be a lot of confusion here although I am sure everyone will be paid. Has anyone spoken to Larry as to why? Is he just tired of all the bullshit?

I was lucky enough to meet Larry last year in Vegas, a really nice guy and a brilliant BM.

If all the books had the knowledge and business sense that Larry had, you would never need to worry if your money was safe.

Guess we can't complain as players when a book closes and PAYS......

I don't think I'd play at what's left of DelMar though without Larry. If in fact they continue to operate......
