Alladin’s Gold continues to be a source of significant concern for the Directorate of Offshore Gaming. Pursuant of our duties as a Regulatory Body, and mindful of the need to ensure the integrity of the jurisdiction and player protection, we have referred the conduct of this company to the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) for investigation.

The ONDCP has obtained a warrant to search the premises of Alladin’s Gold and to seize records of transactions undertaken by the company.

If Antigua wants to salvage it's reputation, the government needs to do more than blow smoke up everyones ass.

This jurisdiction, like every other jurisdiction with the exception of England and Austrailia is a joke.

They take the money of the sportsbooks in the form of kickbacks (tax) on what YOU PLAYERS LOSE, they take the money of the sportsbooks in the form licensing fees and then when a book goes belly up they do nothing!

The first offshore sportsbook ever to rip people off was located in none other than Antigua, remember sports international??

Unless Antigua comes up with a way to pay each and every player that lost money to Alladins Gold, a sportsbook that they licensed, then they are a complete JOKE.

Carib is in Belize. Location means nothing. A Cadillac is a Cadillac no matter where it's located. Same can be said about a good book. The only reason there aren't more books there is because Antigua is such a dump no one wants to live there. It's the ultimate bananna republic from what I hear.

I'm not convinced England or the Aussie books would do anything for stiffed players either. I think Austrailia says that funds are put in a seperate account but who knows. England I have know idea. I think licensing and regulated only means they have the right to operate there.

I can't believe the original post of this thread. Let's see, a sportsbook regulated by the Directorate of Offshore Gaming has gone bust, so they turn them in to the other government agencies and act like they have done something for the customers.

What am I missing?

they should already know what to do in these situations. they should have a plan in place.

they should be auditing the sportsbooks and monitoring their cash flow on a monthy or quarterly basis. they should be verifying balances instead of just having their hands out.
