Good news, Supreme Court requests a response from the government in my case

We filed our petition for Cert in late February. Since the government waived their initial right to file a response the Court had until March 25 to either deny the petition or ask the government to file a response if they feel the case has merit.

The Supreme Court has asked the government to file a response to the petition for Cert in my case. This is good news. We have made the first cut which is a big one.

Wow

I am pleasantly surprised by the fact that they seem interested. I read all the legal briefs and see the government did a poor job in its appelate response.

I also know that they actually grant full reviews for only about 1.5% of the Writs of Certiorari.

I think there are some interesting legal issues presented by the case as well as some issues not raised at trial, or on appeal.

Encouraging news . . . I can't wait to read the government's response to your pettition for Certiorari.
