    How in the world

do player post ups come under the heading of "creditors"?

Post up money, not lost, is the player's money - plain and simple. These should be paid first, before anybody else.

Jay - pierce the corporate veil - nice legal theory and from the facts in this case - a slam dunk via commingling of funds.

These offshore joints are droping like flies, as is the natural effect of competition. I hate to see people with good intentions go south, but I don't think it's avoidable.

Under capitalized books are a gamble and without a huge bankroll they amount to nothing more than a ponzi scheme.

Eddie - I wish you well.
    As Always - Good Luck,

    Sonny

Antiguas license is no better than the next. Never has been. Never will be. Offshore wagering is an extension of onshore wagering. Illegal bookmakers moving out of harms way. Take it or leave it I guess.

I imagine that debts such as employee salaries might come ahead of customer money. I think that's how it is with US bankruptcies. Since the book lost money they should not owe any tax to Antigua. If they did owe any tax I'm sure Antigua would be first in line.

Maybe the title of this thread should be changed to "alladins, the way it WAS" !!!

Jay and Eddie, thanks for your inputs. Certainly a bad situation, all would agree. How to improve the situation with better regulation? - lots of different opinions.

Now that we're in the bad situation, what to do? If Alladin's could honor significant, regular payments to those owed monies, then I'll bet that most would vote to allow them to continue operating. If they cannot honor that, then it would make a mockery of Antigua licensing to allow a continued business.
