Does anyone have any info on "BETCOASTAL"??

i know someone that has recently invested in this operation & wanted to know what players have to say about their history. i have been playing offshore for 5+ years and have never heard of them, but that doesnt mean much because i havent heard of alot of places. any info on this would be appreciated.

hart attack, did your "SOMEONE" invest by posting up or backing up this operation? what a bunch of bs. did a search and found their web site and guess what? could not see or find where they were located, BUT i called their ph # 1-800-479-9782 why don't you give them a call find out where they are and while you got them on the line ask who is the manager is!! unless you know "SOMEONE" they will probably hang up on you.

There was a Coastal on Don Best not too long ago and now they are gone. Is this the same place?

my "someone" is backing the operataion. i know they are located in costa rica. i just have never heard of them is all.

Don't know if they are solid or not, but did unfortunately have the bad experience of trying them out. Once I did not fit the typical sucker/loser profile, they quickly closed my account and gave me the boot.

What was particularly unusual is that they were at the time appearing on the DonBest premium feed, which surely must attract a sharper than average player.

I'm a little reluctant to give thumbs up to any book lately, but since there hasn't been much imput here, thought I'd toss in my 2 cents.
I played with Coastal for about a year, and cashed out after football 2000. Got paid promptly, and never had any problems at all.
Philo reviewed them awhile back at MW. I take it that it's ok for me to mention that?

I had Coastal on the list here at BW previously. I knew they were showing their lines on Don Best and I knew a few players that played into them, but just a few.

I took them down a while ago though, mainly due to lack of information on them.

Jeff, I totally agree.. it can only benefit the player to share pertinant information, especially about experiences with different sportsbooks.

If you have read any of the Philosopher's reviews you have probably noticed that they are pretty intensive. I especially like how the "feedback" section is linked to remarks in the forum concerning the book in question. Saves a lot of "searching"..

As for Coastal, I had every intention of re-upping there, especially after the guys sent me a free fed-ex when I hadn't really qualified for it.

When they quit advertising at MW I asked Freddie (personally) about them, and remember him saying they were good "old school" bookies, and not to sweat it that they had quit advertising. I got the same reaction from guys in the chatroom that had been around for awhile. I never did re-up though.. I just feel more comfortable, like there is more of a "working" relationship when it comes to doing business with advertising books, at forums I trust.

Anyway, just thought I'd add that to what I said yesterday, for what it's worth.

Also, I wanted to give all involved kudo's for working together in this new alliance between BW and MW. It can only make things better for everyone involved.
