i read where the ioc (int'l olympic cmte) is going after any business that uses the word 'olympic,' which is trademarked...they already shut down a greasy spoon in atlanta called olympic diner

hi guys,called olympic a couple of times since the super bowl and got transfered to another line and then after waiting there for five min.i got dissconected.has anybody else had these problems?ive heard the super bowl hit the small books hard,just wondering if olympic got nailed.i always get worried,the reason is i got screwed with espnbets.com(all of a sudden they stopped answering the phones)lost 14,370 with them.let me know as i have alot more at stake with olympic.

I like to just add that I have had an acct with them for years. I have never had a problum with their phones or anything else and I got a payout on the thurday after the superbowl.

The IOC is bowing smoke about anything named "Olympic," as far as I can see.

Yeah some diner in Atlanta caved in and changed their name because the can't afford to spend 100K defending the suit.

If I had the time and cash, I'd club these assholes like a baby seal on the frozen tundra. They are nothing more than bullies and tend to back down when given a bloody nose.

The biggest hurdle they have with Olympic Sports is the jurisdictional problem. They can't acquire jurisdiction over Spiros in the US, or enforce any court order they get from a US court.

If I open Olympic Sports Picks and I am non-commercial they can't do squat. Tough talk is all they got. Once you actually lock up and start the litigation, they'll see it won't be easy and it won't be cheap and go away.
