  • Anyone making a payout from Centrebet?

I have been trying to make a deposit at Centrebet for quite some time now. They don't take Neteller or Pay Pal, and they don't do internal transfers with any Caribbean book. Credit Card deposits carry a 3% fee and have to be converted to Australian Dollars. Bank wires are a hassle and cost money.

If anyone here has a US Dollar account with Centrebet and would like to move part or all of their funds to any Caribbean book then look no further. I am looking to do the opposite and Centrebet has already told me that they could arrange this. All I have to do is find someone who wants to move their funds the other way.

    I thought Centrebet didn't accept U.S clients - maybe I'm confusing something.

Yeah, no problem playing with anyone from here. And Inland Revenue doesn't even want to know what I make from gambling, so that helps too.

I think the reason Centrebet doesn't take US clients is that its ownership status is linked to the US. Similarly Ladbrokes (owned by the Hilton Group) doesn't allow US clients. You can't blame them because otherwise they would be sweating it every time they landed on US soil. And not everyone is as brave as Jay Cohen to single-handedly take on the establishment.

If anyone does happen to have an account there and wants to conveneintly move their money out at no cost and no bank wires involved then I'm all up for it.

Cons, in what country do you live? I thought that even in the countries such as the U.K. that welcomed gambling, there was always the possibility of being labeled as a professional gambler and being subject to income taxes on gains.

I called inland revenue and asked if I should report my gambling profits and the guy seriously thought I was kidding. They were actually quite nice on the phone which was a surprise. And there was no mention of professional gambling so I just left it there. It isn't my main source of income anyway and I don't make more than several grand a year in betting. Good holiday money if you ask me.

The reason they don't even want you to delcare gambling profits is that the gov't used to impose a tax on all bets taken, payable at the sportsbook (which would then hand it over to the treasury). Betting offshore meant you could bet tax-free so instead of passing draconic laws the people in power decided to scrap the damn tax altogether, replacing it with a gross income tax that the sportsbooks have to pay. Good move if you ask me.
