  • Fluent in English Clerks? LOL

On a somewhat lighter note, I got another brochure from CRIS. Sorry, I hate to pick on them again, but actually this provided some amusement because on the back of the brochure where reasons are listed as to why one should play there, my eye caught "se habla espagnol". My first reaction was.......hey, I know that's not debatable! It's the "habla Ingles??" part that I'm still not quite sure about. The funny thing is that the "we hire only fluent English speakers" thing is so prevalent throughout Costa Rica. What amazes the hell out of me is that if I did the hiring and REALLY wanted to get fluent English speakers........it would take a 10 second interview which would consist of prospective clerks reading 2 words off a piece of paper. Now these are 2 school names that I have never heard a clerk in Costa Rica say correctly in the 3 years that I was exclusively a phone acct holder. They are Iona and Xavier. Get those 2 right and I'd hire you on the spot and on a fast track to "supervisor".

That's a funny post CRW. That just gives more credence to the fact that you so called English mjrs. need to take more math classes. Try spitting out the #s next to the teams.
