    With all the fair sportsbooks online, why put up with the unethical one, Direcbet?

    Let me start out by stating the facts:
    I have been a customer for quite a while, I have over 270.00 in futures bets there, in just the last 14 days I have wagered over 10,000 in bets.As of 8/30/01 I had a balance of 547.14.I made a deposit on 8/31/01 of 2000.00 by cashiers check.Sat 9/1/01 I made a bet of 420.00 that won 300.00.Now my balance is 847.14.Sun I won 20.00,bal. 867.14,Mon. I won 500.00,bal.=1,367.14, tues i won 500.00 bal.=1867.14.
    They refused to let me make a withdrawel
    from net teller for 30 days till the cashiers check clears.
    I told them that the money I had depostied hadn't been touched yet.I think this is very unethical, and I told them after the 30 days i would be canceling my account.Please let me know what you think? Thanks :confused: csd@direcbet.com[*]Is this fair/[*]null[LIST]

    You should be allowed to withdraw monies that were there before you sent the cashiers check, including monies won with that money.

    This is a no brainer.

        I think they should wait till the check clears. Too many offshores have been burned by players depositing bad checks and reqesting withdrawals before check clears. Book is only protecting itself.

          Sure, they should wait till the check clears before any withdrawals are made on the monies deposited from that check. But NOT on monies that were already in the account! One has nothing to do with the other.

            But, Tom my exact point is, had i never made a deposit, I still would have had 1,847.00 that I would have had free to take.why shouldn't I be able to take my 1800.00 out.This 1800 has nothing to do with my deposit!

              Sorry misread your original post. If withdrawal amount is not part of 2k then yes, of course you should be allowed.

              Most books I have played with will credit me the 2k but I cannot make withdrawal ie 30 days, untill check clears. This is perfectly understandable. Surprized they have not done this in this situation.

                Did you put any of the 2k deposit into play?

                If so, then you must wait for the check to clear. Otherwise they should pay immediately.
