I was about to post up when they offered me a 25% bonus. Also, they offer 1% juice sides on Wed! Sounds too good to be true. Website is very slick and easy to navigate. Plus they have "british connections" which made them sound legit. I grew hesitent when I was told to direct my WU deposit to Suriname. I had to pull out my atlas to locate Suriname because I had never heard of any offshores doing business there. Suriname is in South America on the carribean coast, former Dutch colony. I too am curious to hear any feedback on "betworld."

Is Royal based in Suriname? I thought they were a Curacao outfit. Are there any other books doing business in Suriname? From the "lonely planet" travel guide, Suriname sounds like a dangerous, unstable place. They have a big "warning!" notice posted on the Suriname section saying the government is unstable, etc. It sounds more third-worldish than the Dominican Republic.

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to bash any book that is based in Suriname, in fact, I hope there is good feedback on this since Betworld appears to be a promo players dream (25% bonus, 1% juice on Wed, 5% juice on Friday, etc.). It is just that I have had bad experience with books doing business in the real third world countries (i.e. Dial-a-bet).

I heard of them I signed up as part of a contest. I didn't post up when I registered. They sent me a promotion e-mail. It said the same things as earlier posted. The lower juice and the bonus.
I posted up a small sum of $1000, as I hadn't played there, or heard too much of them. I got my bonus, I played it through more than what was needed to cash out with bonus. I asked for pay out, and was paid immediately. I had no problems, and I chose to be paid by western union.
I would say by my experience, and I can only speak for myself, that I have no problems posting up there again, and will this weekend.
I can't say anything about the Suriname thing with betworld, but I know that other books get western unions other than where they are located.

Betworld.com would like to thank Brian and Jeff for allowing us to reply to
this thread even though we are not advertisers on this site. There are
several issues that are being raised on this site and I would like to take
this opportunity to answer all of them.
Please allow me to provide you with some facts about our company:
Betworld.com Ltd. is a UK registered company. Betworld.com brings 15 years
experience in betting services, and our recent partnership with two
industry leaders, Interactive Gaming & Wagering Software (OTC: BB:GAMM) and
VIP
Management Services N.V. operating from Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, has
strengthened our resources and experience to take sports betting to higher
domains.
Our website went live on September 1st, 2001. We are a new company and
never conducted business online in the past. We maintain two offices as the
Netherlands Antilles office primarily deals with North American Sports
whereas the UK office deals primarily with horse racing and soccer bets
from Europe and Asia. It is expected that after the implementation of the
new Tax regime through the
Internet Gaming Act in the UK after January 1st, 2002 most of our
operation will relocate permanently to Manchester, UK.
Betworld.com primarily banks with the Royal Bank of Scotland, and
maintains two fully fledged offices in Manchester, UK and Curacao, Dutch
Antilles.
As a UK licensed company, Betworld.com is being audited monthly by the UK
licensing authorities, safeguarding both the players and investors to the
company. Betworld.com has solid financial backing and is fully committed to
staying
the distance in the gaming industry. It is represented by major Solicitor
and Accounting Firms in the UK and it is subject to the utmost scrutiny by
the UK authorities in all financial transactions.
Please feel free to verify the above. You can contact us at the following
numbers in our respective locations:
United Kingdom: +44-161-932-1042 Mr Efstathios Christoforidis, Manager of
European Operations (admin@betworldgroup.com)
Curacao: 1-800-811-1501 or 1-800-811-1471 Mr Alistair Assheton or Mr. Mike
Chalmers (manager@betworld.com)

Some replies to issues that were raised in this thread:
1. Betworld.com is not Betallworld.com. Betworld.com is a new sportsbook
licensed in the United Kingdom.
2. The Sportsbook was open for business on September 1st 2001. Betworld.com
never existed in any way shape or form prior to that date, so the allegation
that someone was playing with Betworld.com and never got paid two months
ago, is simply not true. It might just be a case of different identity but
the sportsbook concerned in this allegation cannot be Betworld.com.
3. The 25% Bonus is a one time sign up bonus only. It was introduced by our
marketing team in order to introduce the serious bettors to the sportsbook.
The normal sign up bonus is 15% and that's what we will be offering after
our first month. We felt that offering a generous bonus (like most companies
do) would be more beneficial in the long run to our company. We are not
concerned if bettors win. We want bettors to win so that they can see how
fast they recieve their payouts and test the efficiency of our customer
service team.
4. Our international office is based in Curacao, Dutch Antilles and this is
the reason Western Unions are sent to Suriname. Most companies that operate
from Curacao operate in the same way. However, you can also send your
Western Union to England (Manchester) where our UK office is located. Just
give us a call and ask for the UK Western Union instructions. The relevant
information will be posted later tonight on our Deposit page as well.
Thank you Brian and Jeff for allowing us so generously to state our case in
your site.
Best Wishes,
Betworld.com
The New Generation Sportsbook
