  • the dupe is on!!

i'm sure my life here will be short. i can feel the resistence day by day. that's because all you people want is fluff. you want to block out the bad stuff. i worked for a tout for close to a year. the stuff i saw would make your head spin. i couldn't take it anymore and had to quit. saw guys lose fortunes. now i see some of these same thiefs putting on a different mask and doing it again.

you don't have a problem with the book putting on two masks? why not just say morons play with las palmas. if you're a little brighter play with wit?

why is post-time and wwts two separate books? i thought one bought the other?

do you people realize how many books nasa owns? you cry and scream about nasa but none of you holy rollers seems to care that they get a piece of your action when you play at gibrlter, millenium, jaguar, mvp and a long list of others. why is that ok?

hey, at least palmas is up front about it. i guess.

why do you think books break up into two? so when you lose all your money with one, the other can go after you. just like when the tout breaks you, another tout mysteriously appears to offer you a magical comeback.

how many books do you think feist owns? there's a real ringer. own a book and sell picks to the same suckers that play there.

now these clowns are even cold calling!

say what you want about me, but i know. i've seen it first hand. unless your a pro, be careful.

don't worry, i won't stay long. i know you'd rather listen to puff and fluff.

    Thanks for not staying long.

Someone who takes a whole year before leaving the tout after seeing "guys lose fortunes" just stinks the place up.

Why don't you concentrate on cleaning up your own act....in private please.

i didn't see the dark side for a good 7-8 months. yeah, i knew it was all about the sell, but never thought they would go as far as they did. i wasn't in a position to leave immediately. give me credit for leaving.

Great post Eggnog! I am actually serious. It reminds me of one of my favorte movies "BOILEROOM". I would love to hear more about the inside of sleazy tout rooms. Just a morbid curiousity I guess. Was your tout connected to a book like Feist? Post more information and stories they are a great read.

        Thanks,

        McSlouch :D

          Eggnog,

Please don't go! Or rather please don't get banned, then you'll just have to use one of your other IDs REALITY has accused you of having.

I actually agree with the why two brand names when one owner. I know why but I don't like it.

What other books are owned by NASA?

What books does Jim Feist have a piece of, just the ones with links from his site? all the offshore connection joints I've never heard of?

see. i made two friends. feist. now there's a story. he and gary austin are pals. gary austin left vegas in the middle of the night owing tons of players tons of money. he claimed his sportsbook was robbed. a decade later he winds up offshore at a place called tradewinds. how quickly people forget. he still owes people, yet those very same people probably send money to this guy not even realizing who they are sending it to. the gambling industry seems to be very forgiving at times to stiffs. yet very hard on stiffs at other times. go figure.

then there was gold medal sportsbook owned by tout jeff allen. then of course paradise casino and the jack price johnny demarco stable.

when i worked for the tout, the offshore books were just starting up. they weren't involved with any book i knew of.

i saw a guy lose 300 grand over the course of 2 months one basketball season, between paying the tout outrageous sums for games and then losing on the games he gave him. i'm sure there are bigger losses than that, but this guy couldn't afford to lose one grand let alone 300!

lots of books operate just like the touts. they are looking for that one big fish. the guy that's just gonna send it in no matter what and they catch fish all the time.

Eggnog, after hearing the story of your past, I can sympathize a bit more with all the sour grapes you've been spewing. Your post really got me thinking - there's an element of truth here. Hell, even the big ActionSports fiasco in the forum last year had the very same owner opening up another place just weeks later.

But don't generalize this problem to all two-sportsbook mergers. There are many pairs in which a healthy sportsbook took over another weaker one, and wishes at least temporarily to retain the identity of both in order to keep as many customers as possible. Certainly this applies to WWTS/PostTime, WIT/LasPalmas, Rio/Skybook, and others. These mergers are a good thing for the industry, without which many, many players would end up losing their deposits.

There are plenty of valid reasons for having two names under one roof. I don't think any of them are out to take advantage of people.

I don't have a problem with books affiliated with NASA either. So, NASA supplies the back end and what not, the books still are in business for themselves.

As for the touts.......well, the relationship to books doesn't phase me. Books are in business to make money. If they hook up with touts to get customers, big deal.

The education is out there for potential clients of touts, or potential "victims".

I'll never forget that story on HBO that showed this Doctor get taken for thousands by Stu Feiner.

A Doctor. Educated in every other way. Yet blind about sportsbetting!

I do have a problem with NASA! Just got in the mail that they'll give me a 40% bonus on my initial deposit. They'll give me 20% twice a year on my losses and 15% for refer a friend, a total of 75% in bonuses. I just look at their 40% offer and thats enough to steer me clear of them! Not to mention they are not on the BW list. And this booklet I received associates them with Betus.com, never heard of them. Anyways with the hundreds of pieces of mail I've gotten from books and touts this is the grandest offer ever.

Mako, there are two NASA's, which causes some confusion. NASA International (betonsports.com) does most of the advertising, and has been reported as stiffing a player for a large amount.

The "little" NASA (betus.com) is reputable, I believe, and is not associated with the other company in any way.
