  • How much advertising is too much?

Well, let's just say I'm very pissed. Tonite I got a call from a GCS rep at home trying to post up with them for the football season.

My point is this. It's not enough that I get bombarded via email at least once a week with their newsletter, now they have to call me at home?

This is not only annoying but also not reccomended. I thought the information they collect from your when you sign up is for their records only, not for marketing porposes. I can put up with the emails, even the snail mail junk but this is just wrong.

Needless to say, I won't be posting up with a shop that uses such tactics now or at any point in the future.

Am I wrong here? Whatever happened to player's privacy?

I personally don't go for being called at home, whether it's a sportsbook or the avon lady. Mail and email I can deal with, but phone calls in the middle of dinner I can't!

We are certainly not trying to offend you and apologize for the inconvienence. Please drop me an e-mail to powers@gcsports.com or custsvc@gcsports.com and we will place you on the do not call list.

Alex, you know I'm a big fan of GrandCentral - a truly classy sportsbook. Too classy, in fact, to be calling people. Just use the mail and e-mail.

Alex - I've asked your rep to remove me from both lists so it should be a done deal.

          Thanks for the offer though.

At least they are willing to remove names from lists. There are others that would ignore that request.

              DrunkenGoon,

Please forward me either your e-mail address and or your GCS account number so I can personally make sure your removal requests were done.

              Thanks

I personally like GSC alot but, I think all players should be on a no call list. What's the point of the call. Players have the option of receiving the weekly newsletter. What else needs to be communicated via the phone?
