I think we all have had the opportunity to lend money to a friend or family member.

Reasons vary from temporary cash flow issues, emergency situations, to keep the utilities turned on or even to buy special items for Christmas time.

This has got to be the strangest reason ever for lending someone money..."I wanted to give some action to a book I liked a lot and for which I am an affiliate."

A fool and his money are soon parted and, I think that, even if you do get your $1k, it won't be in your pocket very long.

I don't care how honorable you used to be or what contributions you made to this site in the past. Honesty and integrity are a 24 hour/7 day a week characteristic. I believe your intention was to stiff this guy from the onset. I'd have to wonder about anyone's character if they still continue to defend your stiffing this guy. You have no excuse for not paying.

I don't like that a personal matter was posted here in a public forum. However, once U7 responded that he owed the money, I strongly believe that this then became everyone's business.

There is no way to justify not paying back a legitimate debt. If U7 doesn't settle-up then I say let's add him to Jeff's topic of The BLACK BOOK list.......(maybe there should be an offshore [and BW one also])

BTW, where is REALITY on this one. Maybe it's because this isn't an issue that involves a sportsbook and a customer.

UDOG, I'm shocked! Just because someone does something to pi$$ you off doesn't let you off a debt. Suppose you do soemthing to make a sportsbook mad - do they then have the right to keep your postup money?

Just for the record, for those that feel this is a private matter that doesn't belong here, I strongly disagree.

If these forums, and forums like it, are good enough for someone to recruit people for their own financial gain, then they are also good enough for those that were recruited, and have a gripe. It's a two way street.

It's not as if these were two guys off the street who took their dispute to the forums.

Hopefully underdog7 will do the right thing, in time, and make good on the debt.

Maybe he's just a little stressed out right now, and will come to his senses in time.

Well, its been a long time for me on the boards, a bit of a time off while unfortunatly spending too much time making money the 'old (legal) fashioned' way.

This is truly an unfortunate, but all to frequent, mode of operation for some. Udog sent me emails wanting refferral $$ soon after I first posted here years ago, and I never bothered to consider his posts since.

faith! i have loan money, cars, tv's, feed the kids, live with me! all because of faith, strong statement you bet! i have also been on the other side. barrow this, barrow that. it's not fun being on the down side. i had faith in them and they had faith in me. who know's what's going on in ud7 life. i think just a blanket statement calling him the names, is just going to piss him off and rightly so. everybody's jumping but nobody care's. he owes i for one thinks he will pay.
