Dunes Removal from Don Best Screen

Dunes has gradually been paying people. They paid me the 6+ dimes they owed me. Why are they now off the Premium Service and Island Express?

I think they should have been removed from the service a long time ago. But to be taken off now seems a bit strange.

We have been removed from the Don Best screen for not paying our customers and catching up as fast as some would like. We argued and argued our case to no avail. We offered the proof of the payouts we've made and the money provided thus far. We were told that was not necessary and that when EVERY last bill was paid we could be reconsidered if we still met the other requirements of being on the Don Best premium service.

I was told by Dana that our's and Monty's situations were totally different. None of us at Dunes can argue that we don't belong on there right now, we are still playing catch up. Our argument was to apply the Don Best standard across the board.

Thank you to everyone that supported us and tried to assist us when we were suddenly pulled AND thank you to those who have been patient and understanding through all of this.

It seems that Samantha may have been the victim of the good old boy network. What's good for the goose is not good for the gander. Anyway, I admire her efforts to pay the ongoing debt. Dunes' removal from the screen isn't going to help her do it any faster. Thus, Dana's action works to the detriment of those owed.

Monte helped make Don Best what it is now, and for that he gets more slack than a Dunes does.

It wasn't exactly Monty, it was the book Monty was running why the real owner was on "vacation".

I agree with "intheknow". Monty has to be getting more leeway with Don Best on account of his longevity and relationship with them. Dunes was on the screen for less than a year and ran into financial problems. Let's hope that this new ownership continues to make progress and everyone gets paid..including me!

If you mean because CRIS (or monti) wasn't SMART enough to start their OWN line service... WHEN THEIR LINES were the ONLY LINE that mattered.................

In fact...... Being on Don Best has COST CRIS so much money over the years. You have to wonder how smart he really was?

There ya go reading something else into someone else's post. I said Monte helped make Don Best what it is today. He was running Cigar's shop and posting one of the strongest lines at one of the biggest shops in the world when I had to buy a 12foot dish G-5 satillate just the get the service on the TBS feed. I never said he was the only reason, but back in 95 when I started off-shore they were only 3-4 other off-shores. Not many people were on the screen and not many books subscribed either. We still had at least 6 books that called for runs every hour. I think that is the reason he is getting more slack from Dana than a first season slow pay book. How can you disagree with that or is it you just disagree with anything I say. And a little bit of respect with the "whoknowswhat". I've been posting and reading here at BW since 98. I have done nothing to rate your sarcasem.

But just like the Stardust....... before CRIS..... and now Olympic. There's always a Book that takes everybody's action THAT ALL THE OTHER BOOKS CAN COPY.

That's the Main reason a Sports Book would need Don Best. They only look at the Books lines that take everybody's action.

It would not have mattered who ran CRIS then.... just like it doesn't matter who runs CRIS today.

CRIS opens up to a couple Sharp Players.... and then moves their lines when they get bets. They Book the SO-CALLED SAFE WAY, the way most Las Vegas Sports Books will book .................. They would rather get Middled than risk big decisions.

A monkey can run an office this way! A normal person could manage this kind of office.... half awake!!!! And he proved that didn't he?

The fact that they are getting bet by all the WISEGUYS and middlers/scalpers makes the lines sharp!

If you don't want anybody to disagree with you.... Then don't post things that some People might question you on!

If CRIS didn't have the Players they had..... And they were CRIS'S Players!!! Nobody would have cared what line he was using! Just like NOBODY cares what line HE'S using NOW!
