The session timeout is currently set at 15 minutes, as explained on this and other forums before, it is a necessary measure to effectively use and distribute bandwidth and server resources.

Otherwise we will have 100 users connected to our servers 24/7 - 15 minutes is enough for a player to place a 10 team parlay.

Btw, the 15 minutes starts kicking in only after the last transaction, it does not start from the time the user logged-in.

Actually, if you're a Sports-Market customer don't even bother checking the odds on the Masters Golf Matchups... you won't be allowed to bet them! Don't get me wrong, like Sportshobby, I love this book too! But PLEEEEEASE don't post odds at www.sports-market.com that you're not willing to take phone wagers on! Also, I've never understood why some props are bettable at Aces Gold but not at Sports-Market?

FWIW the quick timeout is the reason I have not reupped with Aces. Obviously no timeout is preferable, but books such as Pinnacle and DirecBet have timeouts which strike a much better balance between bandwith and player preferances. Their scheme is to set the timeout at an hour from the last time the player made a wager or refreshed the screen. This eliminates inactive players from hogging the bandwith, but allows players who wager close to game time to bet games which go off at one hour intervals without having to perpetually relogin.

Books such as Olympic, CRIS, Superbook have no timeout whatsoever. And while you're connected for days and days and not doing anything, there isn't any bandwidth being used at all. Only when you try and refresh the lines or make a bet is bandwidth used.

If it has been a day or so since any activity, the user name and password box might pop up; but those can be stored in memory, so that a simple "return" key performs the authorization.

Of course each system is different, so maybe this isn't possible with the current setup at Aces. But I do know that it is feasible.

AcesGold is not my favorite online sportsbook for nothing, they have a very easy to use website, very quick to place a 10 team parlay, and the most important thing is there are no payout problems (i've hit a couple of 6 teamers before). I have no problems with the time-out, I always have enough time to place my bets, maybe because I am not a crunch time player. I place my bets around lunch time, then check my bets at home, ocassionaly I'd play horses during lunch break or the evening races.
