  • Who Offers WAP and/or PDA betting?

I know you can bet at Intertops via. wap.intertops.com or pda.intertops.com but does anyone else have WAP enabled betting?

    Just curious.

    Thanks.

      WAP = Wireless Application Protocol

It provides a standardized way of linking the internet to mobile phones and other wireless devices, thereby linking two of the hottest industries anywhere.

I'm pretty sure books will come with WAP enabled betting in the next 6 months, hopefully before the NFL season...

Dragon, it's basically a WWW interface designed for mobile phones. You could theoretically take your mobile phone anywhere in the world and still be able to place your bets with Intertops. It's really convenient because you no longer need to bring along a notebook computer

            Hartley,
I appreciate most of your takes but WHY MUST YOU INCESSANTLY SCHILL FOR ITOPS????

You also take every measure to refute ANY CRITICISM of them as if it is inaccurate.

They jacked their golf matchup lines to 30 cents this week - out of the blue - and it is a week to week guess whether they will offer "specialty" bets for parlaying.

Since your in bed with them, ask them why they can't be consistent?

Also, why not just title the post "INTERTOPS OFFERS WAP FIRST" if that is what your intent is?

Tonyo, I challenge you to find the last time I posted anything about Intertops.

Nevertheless, the reason I posted this is that on weekends I'm usually not home and it is very convenient that I can bet with my cell phone (where I don't have to be by a computer). I was curious if any books offer this service - to give me another out.

I'm not sure why you felt there was an ulterior motive in my asking it.

                Hartley,

Have you ever bet using WAP? If so how is it?

And does anyone know what the security risks are on that? Might be a good article for someone to write about.

Come on guys, give the man a break. Hartley has always been fair in his comments and has even brought us a great Formula 1 contest with Intertops' help.

Offering WAP-betting is a big step to take, and if they're the first company to offer it, then they deserve the praise. As far as safety goes, WAP is perfectly safe. Being a man who travels often, WAP-beting will be a great convenience too.
