  • TODAY'S QUESTION....

A PLAYER HAS AN ACCOUNT IN WHICH HE PLAYS A PROP BET FOR THE 500 LIMIT.

HE OPENS 3 ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTS ON THE INTERNET UNDER THE SAME NAME AND PLAYS THE SAME PROP 3 MORE TIMES AT THE SAME PRICE.

SHOULD HE BE PAID THE ADDITIONAL OVER LIMIT BETS IN THE NEW ACCOUNTS OR JUST THE PROP BET IN HIS ORIGINAL ACCOUNT?

This looks to me like a clear case of a dishonest player trying to circumvent the rules. Just the original account should be paid.

      "R"MAN,

DOES THE STORE FORBID MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS IN THE SAME NAME? PROBABLY NOT IF THEY GAVE THIS PERSON FOUR ACCOUNTS IN THE SAME NAME. SO OF COURSE THE STORE IS OBLIGATED TO PERFORM, IF IN DEED THESE PLAYS WIN. misty

        "M"MAN,

THEY DONNOT ALLOW MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS IN THE SAME NAME.

HE OPENED THE 3 ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTS ON THE INTERNET HIMSELF.

Agree with Dragon, book should only payoff on the original bet.

The interesting part is that he used the same name. He must not have been trying to hide anything.

What would happen if he used different names, and insisted that he wasn't the one using all the accounts. Maybe he's in a college dorm and he and his buddies all use the same computer to bet.......hmmmmmm

                It's never easy is it?

                  JEFF,

DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS,SAME CREDIT CARD HE IS NOT GETTING PAID.

DIFFERENT FAMILY MEMBERS,ALL SAME LAST NAME ALL WITH THEIR OWN CREDIT CARDS THE BETS MUST BE HONORED WITH A WARNING THAT IF THAT SAME COINCIDENCE SHOULD HAPPEN AGAIN THAT GRANDMA AND GRANDPA AND AUNT SHIRLEY AND UNCLE LEROY SHOULD ALL LIKE LABONTE OVER WALLACE IN NASCAR AND THATS ALL THEY LIKE THE WAGERS WILL NOT BE HONORED.

THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY HAPPENS EVERY WEEK,52 WEEKS A YEAR....

This is getting more interesting. If Uncle Leroy and family all walked into the Mirage and one right after the other made the same bet, it would be ok. I mean, it COULD be legitimate.

How do you feel about several people all using the same account? In otherwords, everytime they call in a play, it's a different voice on the line?

                      JEFF,

I ADVISE EVERY BOOK TO NOT ALLOW MULTIPLE USERS FOR THE SAME ACCOUNT.

                      ONE NAME.

ONE AUTHORIZED USER OF THE ACCOUNT.

                      WHY?

WILL AND BILL SHARE THE SAME ACCOUNT.

THEY LET THERE COUSIN JOE PUT IN A LIMIT BET ON A GAME IN THEIR ACCOUNT.

                      IF IT WINS THEY COLLECT.

IF IT LOSES THEY PUT IN A CLAIM,THEY WANT TO HEAR THE TAPE.

AFTER LISTENING THEY BOTH CLAIM THAT'S NOT OUR VOICE.

NOW WHAT DOES THE BOOK DO?

                        "R"MAN,

I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE A FAILING GRADE TO ANY STORE THAT DID NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO ASCERTAIN MULTIPLE NAMES AND OR ADDRESSES WHEN AN ACCOUNT IS OPENED. WEAK AT BEST!!misty

I think that's where having the account # and password comes in. Only so much the book can do. If someone else calls in and has the account number AND password for an account, then the player must have been lax somewhere along the way and must take responsibility.

How could the book prevent this? Every clerk would have to be able to recognize every players voice.

How about online? No way in the world to really know how many people are using the same account.

                              JEFF,

IF THE PLAY WINS THE BOOK PAYS AND NOBODY IS THE WISER.

IF IT LOSES AND THE CUSTOMER CLAIMS THAT IS NOT MY VOICE THE BOOK IS IN A NO WIN SITUATION.

BY PROHIBITING MULTIPLE USERS ON THE SAME ACCOUNT YOU CUT DOWN ON THE CHANCES OF THAT HAPPENING BECAUSE THE CLERKS DO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH A CUSTOMERS VOICE AND ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASSION HAVE BROUGHT THIS FACT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE INDIVIDUAL IN THE CHAIR...
