thanks dtb. If i thought line was a mistake i surely would not of posted the halftime over and the total under at ig , despite olys previous record of paying all bets it would be absurd for me to go around posting a mistaken line as one of my reccomended plays therfore increasing the cost of olympic honoring such a line.

I can't disagree with you more, Aussie. It is not at all hard to make sure you are always posting the right lines. Does a bookie give you bad lines? how about in a casino? The only reason that books go back on there misposted, and sometimes blatantly wrong lines, is cause they can. We let them. I know one book, that has at least 10 to 15 bad lines a day. They don't care. They do with them as they see fit. This is the way it is, cause they hold the all the cards. If we stop putting up with this crap. it will stop. and it will, in time

Looks like we have came back to this same old sh!t again, again and again.

Simple facts,

a) I have no intention to "attack on gregs integrity", the simple fact is I believe the line (either half/full time) was a bad line or obvious error, which the books have the rights to cancel the wrong bet.

b) I believe Greg "should" know either one of them was wrong, according to his betting history (on college hoops) and what he posted in this thread.

c) If Greg didn't believe that was a bad line, why would he request for a refund of the full time bet and NOT request for the winning bet of the 1st half bet (which refunded due to bad line)? Interesting, isn't it? For me, I will NOT back off if I believe that line is right and I have won (47-34, 1st half, total 81, over 70).

d) So, when you bet a bad line and a correct line at the same time (when they somehow related to each other), you should be refunded when the right line should lose? and collect the money when the right line should win?

e) An example, if Olympic will have this line for a England FA Cup soccer game,

Man United -2.5 Chelsea
over/under 2.5 goal

(the correct line should be Man United -0.5 Chelsea)

Assuming the moneyline should be around even to -110 for both, when I bet a dime on BOTH Chelsea and over 2.5 goals, tell me a way that I will lose?

The worst case is I will lose some juice.

So, when the books cancel my bet on Chelsea (the wrong line), should I have the right to make them cancel the bet on the total also?

Especially after the game has been played and I lost.

Geez, if I know my bet on Chelsea would be erased (got caught), I probably won't bet on the over also.

Not saying that Greg's bets were also win-win situation, but 70/166.5 has a huge advantage to the bettors if it stands. If you tried to called them before the game played and ask them to cancel the full time bet after they cancel you 1st half bet, thats another story. But when the game is over, you think you should get your full time bet back? What if it won?

f) Again, I am not trying to figure out whether this was "an attempted thief" (and I had never said that to someone in this kind of situation), which I could care less. I will even admit that I have bet on those obvious errors before, some got cashed, some got caught, but I just WON'T,

i) try to be a smartass to tell someone I outsmart the BMs when I cashed my tickets.

ii) or cry for it when I got caught. I will just suck it up, move on, and learn to bet smarter when I have this kind of "chances" the next time.

Again, thats me and I am NOT saying "Greg got caught stealing in this case".

I am just saying that which bet should stand and which should not and the reasons behind.

g) And for God sake, the last time, for those people said, its fair to the bettor that the books should pay for their errors. Go find a bookie out there will honor you this kind of bets, so you do not need to cry for it after you got caught, most if not all books have this stated in their rules that they will cancel all this kind of bets.

Don't like it? Don't think its fair? then don't play it, or go find a bookie will allow you to play this way, btw, the last time that a BM said that he will honor this kind of bets is Intheknow, however, Mr. Intheknow is still NOT willing to tell us the name of the bookie that he works for...

If you don't like the rules of the game, don't play it or you can try to change it, if you can.

But when you will play the game, just don't cry about the rules not being fair after you lost.

Over the last while I have gotten to know Reality on a personal level. I can attest to this....he is truly a good person and has incredible knowledge to share.
He has done things out of the goodness of his heart that I have never seen a person do before in my life. This includes buying prosthetic devices for children, buying "down and out" people air tickets to get back to their families. The list goes on.

Reality and I will sometimes have differences of opinion and we both express them vehemently, thus, sometimes the clash. But do not lose sight of the respect that I have for this man and the incredible talent he brings to the table.
