It has to have some effect. The U.S. and U.K. work together in so many ways, e.g. world affairs, that the British stance gives online gambling more credibility here.

Not so sure it will have any effect here......you have to remember that betting on sports has been legal in the UK for decades. It didn't have any effect on the USA for all those years.

The only difference now is the internet.....those same books that were operating in the UK and paying the taxes to the goverment moved offshore to beat the tax.

The govt saw what they were losing out on.

I can't see the US govt ever changing it's stance on sportsbetting......
