Due to the controversy over the Don Best ‘Urgent Message’ and the fact that books in Vegas graded the Earnhardt jr./Rusty Wallace match-up as action, SportingbetUSA has re-graded the race.
In an attempt to service our players better and give them the benefit of the doubt, SportingbetUSA will grade the Duralube 400 accordingly:

-All futures on Earnhardt jr. to win will be refunded.

-All Earnhardt jr. match-up propositions will be refunded.

-All Rusty Wallace match-up propositions will be paid.

In the future, SportingbetUSA’s policy regarding this type of situation will be the following:

Once the driver takes the green flag he has started the race and all bets regarding that driver will be considered action.

I think the race bets were action, but DonBest made a mistake. It's good to see a book giving the benefit of the doubt to the player.

All I can say is "WOW!" Now that is a sportsbook dedicated to making sure their players are kept happy either way. I've never heard of a book doing that (I haven't been around that long though), but that is commendable. I will now have to look into them as a possible out for Nascar. Completing a lap has nothing to do with anything....imagine if you bet against someone who blows an engine coming out of turn 2 in Vegas this week and proceeds to make it back to his pit stall which is after the start finish line.....was that a completed lap? Interesting.
