    Some bookmakers make me sick.

    Horizon Sports wrote:

Even after his threats we sent him the final payment of 140k plus.
    Great.

Let's throw another party: You paid the guy part of what you owed him.

This whole thing borders on the sickest thing I've EVER heard.

The only thing worse is listening to the logically challenged, confused ego-maniacs running around making statements that basically amount to this:

    "He's a MOVER.

Therefore, the bookmaker has the right to rape, pillage and plunder the player as they see fit."

"He won big. So what if they didn't pay him all of it."

"They gave his money to charity."

The amazing thing is the stadium sized crowds of people telling the world how WONDERFUL it is that Horizon has robbed from the rich and gave to the poor.

I don't think anyone understands just how dangerous this kind of thinking is. Taking something from someone and justifying it with "he's rich, he can afford it" is probably the most damaging type of attitude we can have as believers of freedom.

In fact this type of "Robin Hood" thinking is about as Anti-Freedom as you can get. Its an ugly form of Pragmatisim/Socialism that is not only logically indefensible, its never worked when practiced as a form of governing a society.

The biggest outrage, however, has got to be this:

YET ANOTHER SPORTSBOOK DISPLAYS THE DANGEROUS TREND OF THREATENING TO CONFISCATE A PLAYERS BALANCE AND NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE.

    Oh, and one more thing:

Why don't you just admit that you thought the guy was a whale?

Thought you had a real ALL DAY LOLLIPOP on your hands, huh?

    A bona-fide go-off-artist -- right?

Some trust-fund bettor that did nothing but stay on COMPLETE TILT 24 hours a day...

Bet you were licking your chops thinking about the score you were gonna make, weren't you?

Heck, I bet you already spent the money.

    What did you buy?

A new car? A Mercedes for you and maybe a BMW for your mistress in the states??

Add a room or two onto the house? Maybe a pool and jacuzzi for the back yard?

Maybe you invested it? Didja see some tech stocks you were chomping at the bit to get into?

What a big shot you's get to be with your relatives at the Christmas Party when you gave them all Rolex Diver Watches as gifts!

Musta stung like a bitch when the next thing you knew you were 400 dimes in the hole to such a square, huh?

C'mon, admit it: We all know its true anyway and it will be therapeutic to get it off your chest.

    I'm here to help,
    Heath

At least they paid the guy his entire winnings. I'll give them that. It's not a NASA deal where they confiscate everything. We're only talking about the free money. BUT, I have a hard time buying into the fact that it took 6 months to determine he was moving for BW. After a couple of plays a bm should know it's a wiseguy. After a couple more, he should know he's moving. A couple more plays, and he should know the source of the plays, which in this case, was BW. It would be impossible to play for 6 months moving for BW and not be detected. If I were horizon, from now on, everytime a new player signs up I would tell them that if we determine you are a mover for BW, we will take your bonus. End of story. No confusion.

        dragon,
what if you go on a hot streak and the book accuses you, with no other proof, that you're a mover. would it be ok for them to confiscate your bonus?

no, this was not the same as nasa, but it's the thought that counts.

          Heath,

Is this the guy that won 400k and got stiffed on the bonus of 6700? If so that makes no sense on their part for not going ahead and paying the 6700 when they paid the other amount. Plus he bet with them for 6 months before they closed his account? That makes no sense either because they should have known he was a "Mover" long before then and if they didn't want his business closed his account a long ways back.

Very true. That's the scary part. Also, does this apply to MOVERS across the board, or just BW movers? How about the pokers? The koshers? How about my rich uncle milte? I place wagers for him because he can't get enough down in one shot. Technically I'm a MOVER!
