I did not intend to respond any further to this thread, but felt that after the replies to this thread, a couple of points needed to be addressed in finer detail.

    Point number 1.
The total payout from our accounts to ScottieLp was in fact 570k. ScottieLP sent three deposits and these amounts were sent back in addition to the 370k plus he won. It’s up to you Scottie, but if you wish I can produce the bank confirmations of the wires with the dates and amounts to be posted on this site to prove it. Your call.

    Point number 2

We knew ScottieLP was talent after his first few plays, this was not a question of him fooling us for six months. We deal with all manner of so-called wiseguys on a daily basis. We didn’t find out about him being a mover for BW until recently. Upon confirming our information, we immediately closed his account.

    Point number 3

By lying and misrepresenting himself to us to gain access to our sportsbook, we felt that there should be some penalty. This was not a reflex action taken. We knew the backlash and bad publicity that would follow. We didn’t just send the final payment minus the bonus. We informed ScottieLP of our decision and he threaten to make us pay for it. Even after his threats we sent him the final payment of 140k plus.

    Point number 4

Horizon Sports made a decision to protect our business, we knew it wouldn’t be popular with the general public. We realize we may lose some clients from this, but if it keeps one money mover from cheating his way into our book it has been worth it. To all those who think we should not have invoked a penalty for what ScottieLP did, we respect your decision. We felt we did what was best to protect our livelihood. If we needed any re-enforcement that we made the right decision, all we had to do was read the front page of the Las Vegas Review Journal today.

    Point number 5

About how the bonus money in question is being spent. We will be forwarding the information to the different sites for verification. We refuse to respond to your allegations of drugs, whore using, and your continued threats. I believe the numerous confirmations of you being a mover has somewhat shaded your other comments in that it has been proven now that you are a liar.

Is this the www.bethorizon.com company? I've just been through their website info, and I can't find any fine print on their policies for not paying bonuses to certain types of players. Forgive me if I missed it. If it's not posted, it ain't a rule.

Since when do players have to reveal their backgrounds and where their plays come from? Gosh knows the players have to send their money to sportsbooks in foreign countries without ever knowing who are the owners.

Of course you came back horizon, you were hoping that everyone would feel sorry for you. Instead you are getting bad press for ripping that guy off. Can't have that. You actually thought that stealing 6700 dollars was gonna help your book? Dumb idea. Come up with a new marketing plan...quick

I guess we could argue about the merits of each side for days. For publicity reasons, Horizons might as well pay the man the rest of his money and forget it. Anyway, I sure would like to get hold of the plays the guy was using. Maybe just watching the screen will do that.

As though stiffing him for $6750 wasn't bad enough, the sportsbook gives out his name and net winnings to the public - really poor judgement. I'll bet Horizon even has a statement somewhere in their rules/website that states that they will NOT reveal customer information.

Here it is from the website:

            "RULES AND REGULATIONS

You must be at least 21 years old to play. Please check with your government regarding legality.

Name and account information is strictly confidential. "

            . . .

And yet their claim was they didn't want any legal problems because of B.W. and then THEY blast this info all over the internet.

Yeap that will help keep away the legal problems your soooo scared of.

And a bunch of FOOLISH SELF-SERVING People wonder why WE DON'T BELIEVE their excuse for NOT PAYING HIM HIS BONUS AND NOT WANTING HIS ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't want his bets...... GREAT! Pay him HIS MONEY and forget it......

What are you guys trying to prove????

The question is who is this great service? we could all join this service and then play at horizon and really make them sorry they stiffed you. Also we could get rich by using the picks at our other outs. Maybe this service is montored or picked up by a consensus service and we could see if they did well enough to prove that you may have indeed used their picks (not the big syndicate) to beat the sportsbook.

When NASA stiffed a customer for 500K their excuse was that he was a Billy Walters beard ... however both the customer and BW disputed that accusation.

When Horizon stiffs a customer for 6K+ their excuse is also that he was a BW beard ... again the customer (and probably BW) dispute that allegation.

We have a great ripoff formula here ... if a big bettor wins big simply say he was a BW beard and don't pay him! Or say he is a communist ... or an FBI informant ... or works for another book ... or, whatever ...

NASA, and now Horizon, is a NO PAY. Put them both in the clink and stick with the many solid books on The List that will pay.

BetHorizon does'nt think these watchdog sites have much effect in the off shore betting industry. I tend to disagree. I don't think they should of stole this man's $6700.

Also hard to feel sorry for someone with a 6 figure account balance in an iffy ethical situation, either.
