BROTHER GUIDO,

I WORKED 107 DAYS STRAIGHT ONE FOOTBALL SEASON BECAUSE I AM SOMEWHAT DERANGED.

SOME B.M'S HAVE FAMILIES AND LIVES OUTSIDE THEIR JOB.

IS IT SO UNPROFESSIONAL OR UNBELIEVABLE TO THINK THEY HAVE A DAY OFF A WEEK?

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE IN THE CHAIR EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY SESSION.

I DID THIS ONCE FOR 90 DAYS STRAIGHT WHEN I FIRST WENT TO WORK FOR A FLEDGLING OUTFIT WHICH BECAME AN OFF-SHORE SUCCESS STORY.

THE LAST TWO WEEKS OF THAT 90 DAY STINT I WAS JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS,I WAS IN A COMA.

I WAS BURNT OUT AND WHILE I WASN'T HURTING THS BOOK WITH MY PERFORMANCE,I WASN'T GIVING THEM THE BENEFIT OF MY BEST EFFORT LIKE WHEN I'M FRESH.

SOMETIMES THE MAN IN THE CHAIR IS OFF.

THOSE WHO SUPPORT HIM IN HIS ABSENCE SOMETIMES MAKE BAD CALLS OR ERRORS IN JUDGEMENT.

I'M SORRY BUT THIS IS A REALITY OF LIFE...

THAT'S WHY PENCILS HAVE ERASERS,TO CORRECT MISTAKES.

SOMETIMES PERSONALITIES AND TEMPRAMENTS ENTER THE MIX AND IT TAKES A LITTLE BIT LONGER TO SORT OUT THE REMEDY.

THE PARTIES INVOLVED HERE WORKED OUT THE PROBLEM TO THEIR SATISFACTION.

THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IT,BUT IT WASN'T.

PEOPLE SAY I'M RELENTLESS?

WHAT ABOUT THESE INDIVIDUALS WHO JUST CONSTANTLY HOP ON THE BANDWAGON EVERY TIME A SHOP IS BEING CRUCIFIED?

YOU KNOW WHY THEY DO IT?

INSURANCE.

THAT'S RIGHT,INSURANCE.

INSURANCE THAT THEY WILL GET PAID WHEN THEY GET CAUGHT DOING THE EXACT SAME SHIT.

THEIR THINKING, AND CORRECTLY SO, IS THIS SHOP JUST GOT THROUGH BEING CRUCUFIED ON EVERY POSTING FORUM ON EARTH FOR THE SAME THING AS I JUST GOT CAUGHT DOING.

THEY DON'T WANT TO GO THROUGH THAT RINGER AGAIN, SO I KNOW I'LL GET PAID.

Are you saying that everytime someone complains about a book, the people out there jump on the bandwagon to hammer the book?

Have you never seen players defend a book? Are all players dishonest and looking for an unfair advantage?

Have you never seen a forum owner intervene on behalf of player and book to try to make sure everything comes out rosey?

Smart books use these forums to their advantage.

That 5% of the customer base is growing all the time as the internet grows.

Players send their hard earned money thousands of miles away to be in the hands of strangers....They had better have forums like these to turn to for reassurance that the strangers they are sending their money to are honest, repuatble people.

We don't generally **** smoke, but one only needs to look at all the happy campers out there that have had situations resolved or compromises made as a result of forums like these.
(yes, others do a good job as well)

I have alot of faith in the majority of the players to do/say the right thing pertaining to contreversial situations.

When the occasional loose cannon makes his way into this forum, this is one place that doesn't stand for it, and makes a concentrated effort to make sure the players comments are fair to the book.

We even encourage players to try to solve their problems before going to the forums. Imagine that.

As a personal commitment to the players, I/we will continue to operate this forum/site with or without revenue with the same motivation, if not more.

The internet is only beginning to see it's usefulness in this industry. It's not going away. It's only growing, and it's global.

THERE ARE SOME GREAT POSTERS HERE WITH A SENSE OF PERSONAL INTEGRITY WHO DO STEP UP TO THE PLATE.

CASE IN POINT,DURING THE RENO/REALITY WARS HERE A POSTER SOUGHT TO QUESTION THE FINANCIAL INTEGRITY OF OLYMPIC SPORTS.

A GREAT MANY POSTERS,POSTED ON BEHALF OF OLYMPIC SPORTS.

THERE ARE A HOST OF HONEST PLAYERS WHO EVEN GO THE EXTRA MILE AND DEFEND A BOOK WHEN THE SEE SOMETHING WRONG THAT SHOULD BE MADE RIGHT.

MANY OF WHOM HAVE BEEN INDUCTED INTO THE CHURCH OF HONEST BETTING ETTIQUETE RIGHT HERE IN BETTORSWORLD...

IT IS THE RIGHT POLICY,BECAUSE THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ALLOCATION OF THEIR ADVERTISING DOLLARS ARE MORE APT TO PLACE THEM WHERE THEY GET A FAR SHAKE FOR THEIR EXPENDITURE.

I believe the postings, good and bad, about a sportsbook would continue whether or not that book chose to advertise here. And thank goodness that choice to advertise does not give them immunity in case they screw up.
