I recently decided to post with a book which I thought had a great deal, 20% bonus on all deposits and reups and a 6 point 2 team basketball teaser at 13-10. (5 pointer was only at 11-10!) I did not like giving my CC over their website though as it didn't look secure and called instead. When I did, I was told cash was preferable, but if I wanted to use my CC, I had to sign a CC authorization or they couldn't refund any money to me. (not listed on their website.). I told them to fax it to me. This form asked for many personal things, including my SS number which I will never give out as I am afraid of fraud. Needless to say, there are too many other books that don't hassle you so I decided against posting up and used the funds to reup with WSEX instead. WQhat's the deal here? Does anybody really fill these out and give this personal info?

This is becoming more and more common. I don't know about the SS number, but it is very typical to have the book ask for photocopies of the front/back of your driver's license and credit card.
Blame it on fraud by a few players with no integrity. Without this info, the players could just claim that someone else opened the account under their name and used their card. The bank would side with the customer most of the time.
