    Royal Review
    By Victor Ludorem

Trust may be best described as an assured resting of the mind on the integrity, veracity and principles of another party. Trust should not be given but rather earned. It is a most precious commodity. Year after year, clients who experience the Royal Treatment at some point become comfortable and develop a rapport with the people they deal with on a regular basis. Over time that rapport evolves into trust. That feeling of trust spawned the phrase ‘Loyal to Royal’, words not by us but from a Royal client. We just plagiarized.
I certainly TRUST all of you will enjoy this weeks recap. Perhaps even read it over again and have a laugh with your FedEX guy.
The bettors universally stumped their toe coming out of the box with New Orleans +8 in the Metrodome. The Bourbon Street Bandits paddled ‘up the river’ handcuffed to play more like the Minneapolis-St. Paul Saints while the Vikings hit for the cycle 34-16. The Vikes appear to be peaking now on both sides of the ball.
After consulting Dr. Scholl, gamblers world wide had no problem lacing it up with the Raiders-8.5, should have been –18.5 I tell ya. The Silver and Black is back making sashimi out of the Dolphins 27-0. Flipper had ‘no chance’ to run for help in this one neither did the Royal linemakers. What will ‘Lil Chuckie’Gruden have in store for an encore?
With boots firmly laced up now on the Ravens + 6, Royal got kicked by the entire Gogolak family. This vaunted Baltimore D is as good as any this prophet can remember and speaking of Gogolaks that’s quite a memory. The Oracles of Adelphi are clueless as to why the Titans home field mastery doesn’t work on the Ravens, who became the only team to win in Tennessee not only once but TWICE. The Titans won all the stats but lost the game 24-10.
The biggest stand of the weekend was on the New York Football Giants-4 to extend their domination over the Eagles. NY coach Jim Fassel has never lost to the Phillys in his tenure. Sunday was no exception as the Royal butt was kicked worse than the Eagles.
The Giants broke out of the gate fast and never looked back going wire to wire and lapping the cheesesteaks 20-10. But I must confess I did not see a final score flashed during ‘Sixty Minutes’ on CBS.
So we go 1-3 in the Divisional Playoffs. This makes for a busy week ahead for the Accounting Dept. but that’s what we do. Pay winners and pay them promptly. You might share this reliance with your FedEX guy, he’s probably wondering where all these Royal packages come from. With confidence I personally challenge you, the growing number of readers, to find someone who claims they were ever slow paid at Royal Sports. I trust you never will.

I heard that Royal is pretty good, but when do you post your lines? Somebody took significant early action on the Titans and the Eagles that went down big time.

I must admit that Royal has been good when it comes to paying. But the quality of the English of their order takers is very poor. Many times I have clearly stated a wager, and when they repeat it to you they get it completely wrong, so you have to watch that closely. Also, their web site is a mess. For months now they have said it would only be two weeks till their web site lines posting would be fixed. So what is important to you in choosing a sportsbook is what counts. Me, I'll take Carib or Intertops aday.

Royal Sports puts up the Royal Openers for NFL on Sunday nights for the upcoming week.
Our wagering lines open at noon EST. each weekday and 11am EST on the weekends.

I am quite surprised to read the comment about the diction quality of any Royal Ticketwriter. These fine people are hand chosen for hundreds of applications with complete command of the English language as the first criteria. In fact we are much more used to receiving compliments about our ticketwriters regarding their professionalism, knowledge and court awareness. But then again it is entirely possible, as I personally know hundreds of Americans who have trouble understanding and communicating with people from New Jersey also.

I used to play with Royal all the way back to the Galaxy days and at the time I thought they were the easiest to understand of all the books I played with. I don't know about now but they always were easily understood and always knew what they were doing when I had a question arise.
