    Royal Review
    By Victor Ludorem

If I may please, beg your pardon in advance for the somber mood of this edition. Royal Sports is respectfully in mourning following ringing the new year in with the Annual Royal Firework Extravaganza. The massive Dutch Vuurwerk display and open bar party atop the 250 year old Reiff Fort on the Ottrabanda side of Willemstad Harbor, resulted in the tragic loss of hundreds of thousands of previously healthy brain cells. The show started on schedule at 1am on New Years Eve. The disc jockey belted out the tunes for the dancing crowd of revealers even playing classical Wagner and Beethoven overtures synchronized with the aerial pyrotechnics. A huge excitable crowd gathered to witness this orchestration of ‘bigboys toys’ with 2 large truckloads full of enough missiles, rockets and projectiles to create a panoramic kaleidoscope in the sky. 81 of the really ‘badboys’ (12”/25 lb. cannonballs) were fired out of a 7ft. tall cannon-like steel tube.
Casualties reported from the festivities were 2 tugboats collided in the harbor, a automobile almost plunged off the Queen Julianna Bridge spanning high above the harbor, many became hearing impaired, and GM Scotty of the Royal Firing Squad caught a couple of errant 1500 degree glowing phosphorus soveigners in the midsection, but “Hey the show must go on. Even though we had a permit from the Prime Minister, the local gendarmes shut down the show around 4am claiming numerous complaints from the local hospital 3 kilometers away.
Surely by now most of you have come to realize Royal Sports is not your average offshore sportsbook. Royal does things a little differently than most, as evidenced in last nights Fiesta Bowl. We held the only Miami–6.5 available anywhere in the world. We are much more of an entertainment provider than a clone store. The Royal linemakers utilize their vast experience to create the Royal Openers, the basis of our ‘fair lines to shoot at.’ We understand the game and manage our risk in house with minimal regard to the lines of others. The Royal Treatment you receive is also unique to this industry.
With a plethora of Bowl games to report on and only so much BS to spread, the following is a recap of the scores and results from the perspective of this desk and how we fared. Large stands are indicated in Bold.
