  • 5 Point buys

Hi. Anyone know of any books except Big Book that offer 5 point buys in baskets? Thanks.

Bruce, what's the vig on that? Pelican let's you buy up to 3 points at -110 for each 1/2 point in both Foots and Hoops. There might be some value to getting these deals in games with short prices, but even that's debatable. One cold streak without numbers falling could juice you to death! You could have had the Irish +7 at -170 last night. Then again, you also could have had Over 48 in that game at -170 and Under 53 at some other joint! Guess it depends on where you take your shots.......

it appears that Aces Gold will allow a big buy in points. tonight in football it's allowed up to 6 points costing -230......a
      5 point buy is -210

most books charge similar prices for buying points in football and basketball. It's late and Aces doesn't have any baskets up for tuesday so I'm unable (probably my own inability in traveling around their website) to determine if they allow a similar buy of basketball points but I'm guessing they do.

      good luck!!

I like to buy 5 points on hoops. The lay on baskets is -210. It seems most books only go up to 3 points if that, though WSEX does offer 4. Anybody who knows of any good ones that do offer this option, please post it here. Thanks

          Bruce,
Big Book sounds interesting - Can you help me with a URL? Any little tidbits for using them properly? etc.?

Bucky: The URL for Big Book is http://www.thebigbook.com

I certainly wouldn't recommend them as a primary out as their software is not good and is down a lot. But they do offer interesting numbers, decent bonus programs, and 1/2 juice on NBA and NFL on Tuesdays and Fridays. And there payouts to me have been swift and they charge less on FEDEX than most books I know of. I certainly would recommend them as an alternative out. Regards

Bruce, thanks for the tip. This 5 point buy is the best I have seen but I will be sure to let you know if I ever learn of another book that will let you buy that many points.
