inter book transfers

If i made a deposit with a book on my credit card and wanted to transfer some of my funds to another book, am I allowed to do this, or does the original book make me credit back my credit card before any other transfers can happen.

I would think most, if not all, would require a credit to the card first - if not, a simple transfer would defeat the whole security angle of the credit back first policy.
