I’ve never thought very highly of organized religion, but now I’ve seen the light. I’ve found the church for me, and I urge all of you to cease your sinning and join me in my new life of faith.
I speak, of course, of the Church of Honest Betting Etiquette.
Oh, like many of you, I’ve wondered about this church and its adherents. I’ve seen their happy faces as they cash tickets on all those half-point line moves that always seem to move in their favor. I’ve slipped in the back to listen to the occasional sermon from Brother Reality. I’ve even dabbled in some of the exotic practices of church members, including e-mailing books when I see a bad line instead of jumping on it.
But it took a powerful personal experience to make a believer out of me. (Hallelujah!)
Recently I requested a transfer between two of my sportsbooks. When I followed up to see if it had been completed, I discovered that the recipient book-—Dunes—-had seemingly credited me for double the amount of the transfer. I asked them about this, and they insisted they had received two transfers a day apart for the same amount from the sending book, and that therefore the error must have come at the other end.
I checked with the sending book and they assured me that they had only wired the money once. This was consistent with the account balance they had for me.
I assumed the error was the Dunes’s after all. I figured they’d discover it soon enough, and that would be that.
Oddly, though, several days later the extra money was still showing in my Dunes account.
I called them again today to ask them to take one more look into the matter. They quickly discovered that they had indeed double credited me for the transfer deposit, corrected it, and thanked me for alerting them to it.
Less than two minutes later, they called back to let me know that they had placed quite a significant sum of money in my account, equal to 25% of the transfer (on top of the 10% reload bonus I had already gotten for it), to show their appreciation for my honesty.
Brothers, know ye that the truth shall set you free! Never doubt the message of Brother Reality. Hallelujah!
