Hi Everyone...
We'd like to take this opportunity to talk about what Pinnacle is offering soccer
bettors on the internet at planetpinnacle.com. On our website we want to stress earlier lines and less juice than what punters have had to settle for in the
past at shops around the world.
We have two types of soccer betting on planetpinnacle.com: Handicap and 3-way
betting. We also offer futures and we offer props on high-profile matches.
We will be the first to put up handicap markets in England, Italy, and Spain. Our
odds for the upcoming round this weekend are ready for betting now. Our handicaps
move in half-ball increments with a 20-cent line for starters, moving to 25 cents
after -140. We do not "claw" any of your stake if the game lands on the number;
100% of your money staked is returned.
Limits will be small early in the week (starting at $500) and will rise as we write
action. A couple days before the match (if not sooner) you will be able to get on
for $1000-$2000 and then on matchday we'll take at least $5000.
Real Madrid are well on their way to winning yet another European Cup. We will
continue to offer handicaps on the Champions' League when it resumes in February. When there is a heavy midweek slate, such as when the Champions' League plays, our weekend lines will come out Thursday. We always want to be open for weekend business as soon as possible.
Looking at 3-way betting, we offer all the major European leagues and will be adding
smaller leagues as we go along. You'll find our 3-way pricing listed under "soccer"
in our "Futures & Props" section at the bottom of our main betting page. Current
software restrictions mean we must use British-style odds (6 to 1, 9 to 4, etc.) and
it's singles-only, just as we must use American style odds for the handicaps. We
hope to have different pricing formats and accumulators ready in the near future.
A quick look at our 3-way prices should make their value clear, but if you're
wondering about the math, here's a quick take: Many bookmakers go out with pricing
in the range of 111%-120% or worse. We've been offering 109%, and we have enough
traffic on the English Premier to deal 106%-107%. Of course the handicaps hold
even less. As our volume grows, our percentage hold will drop further.
Our goal is to make Pinnacle a "must-have" out for professional and recreational
soccer bettors alike. We'll get there by offering value to our clients.
Cheers,
Shawn and Lara
