Lines and offerings at both sites are EXACTLY identical. Greg, Do you intend on keeping both sites? It might make sense for backup purposes if one server goes down, although I can't imagine it being inexpensive to keep two sites. Also, I have found the PL site to be smoother and easier to navigate (no little windows within windows).

I agree with ppeter. The superbook site looks nice, but if you just want to place a wager the PL site seems to be smoother, especially with Netscape.

I hope they keep the PL site - I have found it to be fast and easy to navigate - even at crunch time.

mls, I agree that the PL software seems to run very smoothly.

The only thing I really dislike about the superbook software is how it expands my browser window to full-screen. At 21", my screen is used for more than just the browser window. So I'm constantly resizing it every time it is automatically expanded.

I am happy to report a "new" attitude at PL the past 2 days. I said a lot of negative things here the last week and now they are trying. I, for one, appreciate that. The customer service department now has a new attitude. It is very nice.

"new attitude" is just a mirage. Payouts are slow, slow, slow and very worrisome. I still have not received a payout I requested 3.5 weeks ago.

Superbook, I have called your customer service at least a dozen times. They are so clueless I am totally fed up. Your customer service people do not even know if the check was sent by REGISTERED mail, as it was supposed to have been sent per the payout process explaination on the PL webpage. They keep telling me that they don't know anything and to call back the next day, only to get the same response again the next day. I have been playing this "game" for over a week. The response usually is "the person you need to talk to is out right now, call back tomorrow at ___o'clock." Of course, the magic person who supposedly actually knows what the BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON is never actually there. All I want to know is 1) was the check sent registered mail like you are supposed to do per the PL web page 2) how long am I supposed to wait before you guys cancel the check and issue a new one (I can never get a straight answer on that) and 3) for you guys to see if the check was cashed yet, which would mean it was stolen in the mail and the check forged...in which case I would have to involve law enforcment and make a claim against the bank who cashed the forged check. To make matter even more frustrating, I have sent support@plsports.com about 3 e-mails asking these same questions and THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED.

In response to your question without your account details I cannot reply to your specific query, however, I can advise that cashiers checks sent by regular mail can take up to three weeks to reach US destinations from Antigua. Also we are unable to put a stop on a cashiers check as they are technically a cash transaction.
I am happy to help you but due to our customer confidentiality policy would prefer the opportunity to resolve this issue over the telephone than on a posting forum, where specifics cannot be discussed which i am sure you will appreciate.
Please call me at your convenience, however i do not work 24 hours a day so if i am unavailble please leave a contact number so i can call you back.
i look forward to hearing form you and resolving your query as sson as possible for you.

I am happy to report that sportbook paid up and gave me a pretty hefty deposit bonus as a gesture of goodwill.

ppeter, that's good to hear. It would also be nice to hear an explanation for why your payment took so long.

They apparently sent my check to my old address, so it was returned to them as undeliverable. Danniel John listened to the tape of my request and heard that I indeed gave them my new address and this was superbooks error, so she western unioned me the payout and gave me a goodwill bonus.

There are probably about a dozen books where your money is as safe as it would in Bank of America. And Victor Chandler (Superbook) is undoubtedly one of those dozen. Although I have concern about some of the books I play into, I have no concern about them.
