does anybody in the forum have any info on either www.FIVECARDCHARLIE.com or ENGLISHSPORTSBETTING at www.telebet.com? i just got an email from the former and the latter is the main advertiser in the freebie publication called LAS VEGAS SPORTING NEWS. neither is listed here at BW and i am afraid to join them without asking here first! thanx

Guido's posting brings up a question along the same lines - how frequently are the casinos listed on BW's list subjected to recent quality control checks and then updated? -

when i type in ***, it comes out ***! but REALITY used the name in his post! also my reference to Las Vegas Sporting News, **** came out as ****! selective censorship? this is a forum to learn things from other members! it's not like i called the moderator a friggin idiot!Comment

Best to stay away from ***. 5 Card Charlie however, is run by the fine folks
at Legal Book, which is on the Bettorsworld cream of the crop list.
As for quality control, it's an ongoing process. I play at half the books on
the list, get constant feedback on the other half. More importantly, these

was in response to my query. However, if you are substituting *** for the name of certain casinos, how are we to learn from player feedback??

english sports betting (e-s-b) is pretty much scrapping the bottom of the barrel so, for god sakes, don't play there (Reality's comments ARE reality)
my suggestion is to visit the web sites of the books at the bottom of this page, see which appeal to you and then ask for feedback in this forum about those books including their level of customer service, payouts, bonuses, scope of lines/props, etc
don't forget to toss the referral bonus someone's way too

E S B and bworld have a long history going back several years. We left the censor in, because we didn't want them to gain any free publicity at our expense. They are the only book we don't want discussed here.Comment

thanx jeff, i am a new poster but a long time reader of the forum and literally wouldnt join a book without researching it here first! but what is it with this selective censorship? i mentioned two books and a gambling publication in my opening post and u didnt censor it, but then u **** it on subsequent posts! i had another similar problem with a post a couple of days ago...big hit/big brother it was called! someone asked ? about withdrawing money from books; i responded because i was interested in the topic; another guy responded again within 10 mins, and then u quickly closed the topic! and wouldnt respond as to y u were closing the topic! it appears to me that BW is working for some of the books...which is fine...we all have to work for someone! but just lay the truth on the line!Comment

guidoS........Those ***'s are automatic. The bulletin board automatically censors whichever words are put on the list. Way back when, we had problems with E S B abd they were put on this list. To tell you the truth, E S B hasn't been a problem with us for a long time now, we just never got around to taking them off the list. The publication you mentioned, L V S N, if it's still around, was/is owned by E S B which is why they were on the list.
L V S N used to make it a habit to trash bworld, Brian and myself. It was actually entertaining, but rather than go back and forth with them, which is what they wanted, we put the ***'S in place.
As for the thread the other day about the transfers, we simply can't have the forums being used to find answers on how to circumvent the law.
We don't work for any books....but will express our opinions.Comment

thanx jeff, great up front response! as i said, i'm kinda new here but ur explanations ring true to me! las vegas sporting news is
still alive and kicking and being given away free in every casino in vegas! i've looked at it probably once a month over past 4-5 years and dont remember any mention of BW, but i wasnt looking.
as for not using the forums to help people circumvent the law, that is an admirable position to take. BUT, u will surely want to reconsider that when congress passes both ncaa betting and internet betting banns! this will be the preferred information needed at this forum then, and u will be doing ur reader's a disservice if u dont let them exchange that info here! i presume u r located physically in a jurisdiction that allows internet gambling! presumptively yours, the guidComment
