  • Premiere League Update

Thanks for all your comments regarding Premiere League and the progress of the merger with Superbook, as an insider I would like to update everyone on progress and to clarify a couple of issues.

First – a few things have changed for both sets of players.

Superbook players now have the benefit of:

    *Overnight lines (NBA and NHL).
*Props, we are reviewing and looking to increase – but I want to be able to provide props that are different to what you are used to seeing. It's very easy for books to merely copy Spiro - I want to provide something different.
*Odds available on Island Express (under the Premiere banner).

Premiere League players now have the benefit of:

    *Higher Parlay Odds.
    *Easier and Quicker Payouts.
    *Bigger range of Futures.

None of the decisions on business operations have, or will be taken lightly. The object of the merger was to bring together two good books to make a better one, by offering a better service to all. Unfortunately we have had some technical problems that have given us, and our players concerns – we are working on them and we hope that you will have noticed the results over the past day or two.

The above issues apart however decisions we make regarding the time the line goes up and what goes up are always business decisions. After all we are here to run a business.

If you have any specific questions on trading that I can answer, do not hesitate to contact me personally or drop me a line, Customer Service speak to Danielle or Thalia – bigger issues, drop John Docherty, the Managing Director an e-mail – contact details are listed below.

    PL,
I notice that 1/2 the time nobody answers the phone. This is very annoying. Also, you have a long way to go to equal the customer service of Eddie Hadeed and his staff. Eddie, if you're out there, thank you for all you did for me.

      OS,
If you can provide details of the phone problems we will look into it, I can understand your annoyance.

Many of PL's staff are still here, including Thalia who looked after Eddie's Customer Service. We are looking to introduce more ways to send money and provide quick payouts 7 days a week.

If you want to contact Eddie direct, drop him a line here - eddie.hadeed@superbook.com

We are trying to make the transition as painless as possible, and we thank you for your patience.

Gregg, it means a lot to have you come into the forum and address customers' concerns. It takes some courage to face all the criticism, some positive and some negative.

On a positive note, I'd like to say that I appreciate the lines coming back to the IX screen. I appreciate generous limits over the past football season at Superbook, with lines that are not clone. And I am glad that you have set up NETeller to facilitate transactions.

My only negative has to do with deposits and withdrawals by check. My last deposit took over a week to be delivered (FedEx problem, I know) and cost $67, as opposed to the typical $25 for deliver to CR or Antigua. My last withdrawal took five days and cost me $40. Perhaps you could look into establishing a payment processing center in Antigua or somewhere less remote than Gibraltar.

        Best Wishes

Victor Chandler(Superbook) is a good book for baskets. They are not a clone joint, and they take a decent pop. However, it would be nice if they put up their basketball lines up earlier in the morning.

            PL,
The phone problems were there again today.
It seems as if you answer on the first ring or not at all. I know Thalia quite well. She never takes my plays anymore. I wish she did.
            I hope everything works out.

              Gregg,
I've been a good customer of yours for more than a year now, and must say that I'm very disappointed in your service lately. I requested a $1500 withdrawl on Nov 3, 2000, and still haven't got my money. So far I've called in at least six times, and all I get is the same answer: it takes at least 3 weeks for the mail to arrive from Antigua; call back tomorrow if it doesn't arrive.

Two points here: (1) your website states that payments should be received in 1-2 weeks approx., and (2) WWTS, which I believe is located on the same island, pays off in 7 business days. Here it is, a month later, and I still don't have my cash.

Frankly, I don't understand this. In my business, if a customer is expecting to be paid, and the check doesn't arrive on time, the first thing I do is call the bank to see if the check has cleared. If it hasn't, then I order a stop payment on the lost check, and issue a new check right away. I don't say to my customers "Call back tomorrow if you don't get it", about six days in a row. If I did that, believe me, I'd be out of business in a hurry.

It seems to me that you're in a business where trust is paramount. I feel Premiere League has violated that trust. If this issue is not resolved soon, to my satisfaction, I will take my business elsewhere.

                Gregg,
How many years has VC been in business? His European business cannot be this shoddy or he would not be around. Does Mr. Chandler himself know how bad things are? Is there a Mr. Chandler? What you are doing to PL customers is a total travesty. Tomorrow I am going to close my account and move across town to Bill Scott's place. Where are you Eddie? We need you. It cannot be worth any amount of money to see your business treated like this.

                  OS,
VC has been in business for over 50 years, and Mr.Chandler is in regular contact. If you want to call or e-mail me to discuss specific concerns you may have I am happy to talk to you. It's very difficult to help if you don't give me a chance to. I will list numbers at the end of this post to contact me on should you be having difficulty getting through.
                  Jacondos,
You have been in touch and I think we have resolved all your problems. As I explained your check was sent on 3rd November - 7 days before we acquired the business.
That aside we do not want to lose you as a Customer and I hope that you are happy with the outcome.

                  Best of luck,
                  Gregg

this doesnt suprise me at all that eddie is out of sight and superbook isnt worried about the customers. eddie and pl has owed me two thousand for three months now. i faxed all the info to them and they dont want to correct the problem in a manly way they only want to try to make me jump more hoops. so now eddie is gone and so is pl along with my money so i guess they can have it but one thing is for certain i wont play with pl / superbook or any other books eddie is associated with until i get my money. the worst part is if they would have only had given me my money ide probably reupped with them and gave them the chance to get it back but they only wanted me to send mounds of paperwork and still would never agree that they owed me. pl and eddie both suck for their attitude on my manner and it seems im not the only one who thinks so.

gboy, in your matter you may actually be the only one that thinks you've been wronged. Even Jeff (jeff@bettorsworld) agreed to intercede if you'd just send him copies of the documentation. You should take him up on his offer.

sportshooby you dont know how ive been robbed anyway. i faxed all the info to eddie and thalia and they agreed to credit me if it showed what i claimed it did which was a double charge by the crooks at epay which was there and that was one thousand and then the other was a withdrawal from pl for a thousand that was never creditted. i faxed them the info twice and they agreed that they had recieved it but would only give reasons why they hadnt given me credit the reason probably was that they were in negotiations with superbook to sell out and didnt want to give me the credit due to me, so i call eddied a crook and feel that if superbook is going to stand behind the pl customers that they should credit me the money. what power would jeff have with this anyway does he own and interest in pl or superbook probably not, so my problem was with eddie and now hes gone so i cant ever recover the money owed to me so ill keep typing away and hope no one will ever play with the crooks at pl and that now goes for superbook too until they step up and take care of a situation that eddie disregarded.

gboy, Jeff carries a lot of weight with me and a lot of other players. Please, take Jeff up on his offer. If he agrees that Premiere owes you money and you are not paid within 30 days, I will personally withdraw all my money from both Premiere and Superbook and never play there again. That's how much confidence I have in their integrity.

If the money means anything to you, it will be a no-brainer to go the extra mile here.

I am really surprise why this case hasn't been settled till now. It has been going on for the past few weeks now and it seems that we are just going back and forth on this one.

Gboy - If I remembered it right, Eddie told you to contact him directly and if he finds out that PL really owes you the money, he will send it to you out of his own pocket. My suggestion is, for once and for all, why don't email him or if possible call him instead of posting it here and complaint about it. I know, how it goes and don't get me wrong. I'd been there pal but it seems that you are the only one w
