  • Question For Sportsbooks-specifically margarita and pinnacle

I was wondering why some sportsbooks do not answer their emails. Before I deposit with a book I always send an email first to get a few basic questions answered. It always amazes me, that about half of the books don't ever respond. I can just imagine how responsive they would be, if I had a problem instead of being a prospective customer. I was especially suprised about pinnacle not responding, since I had heard what great customer service that they have. The books who have responded promptly have all been great outs, Wsex, Olympic, Rio,Dunes, Premiere League (even though they didn't answer my last question, just gave a canned response, I assume it came from new management).

Anyway, just wondering as competitive as this business is, why would any sportsbook not respond to a prospective customer.

Well, no response from the books. Also emailed Jazz this morning and so far no response from them. I have money in hand ready to send. Why do some books not bother to answer their emails, don't they realize it costs them business.

Well still looking for a book who will reply to my emails. I did get an email from Margarita, but they don't have overnights. I sent an email directly to Matt at Pinnacle, still no reply. Still no reply from Jazz and sent an email to Caribi this morning, and guess what, no reply.

I will ask the question again, why don't books respond to a potential customer, who is asking a few questions? I have money ready to sign up, if I get the answers that I want.

Topspinner, I'm glad you posted on this subject because it has also been a pet peeve of mine. If a customer or potential customer chooses to send an e-mail rather than a phone call, then it actually saves the sportsbook time and money. There's no reason that they can't reply within 12 hours of most simple e-mail questions.

One of my very favorite sportsbooks never replied to three e-mails that I sent prior to signing up. I really almost never did become a customer because of it.

I hope the books read your post and address their deficiencies.

The three times I e-mailed Matt questions, I was answered VERY quickly and thoroughly. Pinnacle has absolutely first rate customer service.

I happen to agree with you guys 100%.......In this day and age, any book that doesn't have someone to answer customer questions and concerns via email is behind the times.

Some books even have customer service available via a live chat type of a set up.

Last year, before the merger of Sportingbet and Betmaker, I had the chance to see this work while visiting betmaker.com.......(now sportingbetusa)

It was impressive.......when someone had a question, the clerks computer would ring, just like a phone.......they would then answer, and type back and forth with the potential customer (or current customer), just like instant messenger.

As pointed out already, this saves the book money on the phone bills, and more times than not, is easier for both parties.

Bottom line is, alot of people prefer to use the computer. Not responding to a potential customers questions will no doubt cost a book customers.

A book with an internet presense should be able to get back to people within no more than a couple of hours during regular business hours.

                  Topspinner,

I do appologise for the lack of response I have been out of the office for the last couple of days.

This is to be taken in no way as typical Pinnacle customer service.

I hope I have answered all your questions and that you can please excuse this lack of communication.

I recieved a very nice email this morning from Matt at Pinnacle and will probably end up signing up with them, even though their site times out.

I sent 4 separate e-mails to Pinnacle over a 10 day period before I finally got a response. Looks like they need to pay more attn. to inquiries.

I had some problems with Pinnacle, but just went to their site to see what they are doing lately.

First thing I notice no lines . . . so I click on "Guest," figuring I will see them there. I get a message:

"Session has expired or cookies are disabled!" Cookies to view the lines - gimme a break.

I sent email to Intertops about reloading my account and never heard back. Needless to say, my money went elsewhere.

Carib, WWW, Vegas International, Royal, WSEX and Olympic have always been very fast to respond to any question I had.

All of them have fair lines, are solid and really nice to deal with. Try one of them you will like them.
                        As always - Good Luck,

                        Sonny
