RENO, Rio still has its problems. A buddy of mine called in on a halftime today. He asked for the line..it took them 90 SECONDS for them to give it to him. By that time, of course, the number had moved. This is inexcusable and not the type of behavior one would expect from a Don Best book.

Probably explains why when looking at the lines without having logged in, finding something you want, logging in and then finding a different number.

The question is-how many books on the DB screen deal 2 lines????. BTW, has anybody seen college basketball "ADDED GAMES" posted
          anywhere?

To answer the question from above, yes some software has the ability to "rate" players or groups of players and deal multipal lines. But then again this can go to your favor if your betting the opposite of the rating and thus creating some possible value.

Tim, that criticism of Rio is still valid. They sometimes stall bettors on numbers, but so do some of the other Don Best Premioum books. The best books never stall players, and the clerks never have to ask a supervisor if a number is still good. That being said, Rio is still a good book because of the different numbers and many perks they offer players.

Its no secret that nowadays all the sharp sportbooks(Don-best screen) use multiple lines. If they didn't how would the sharp guys get paid!!!!(think about that one)...
Put it this way...if multiple lines were not used a lot of sportsbook would have been out of business by now...

MULTIPLE LINES ARE A FACT OF LIFE AND NO BIG DEAL AS LONG AS THE BOOK HAS THE INTEGRITY TO HONOR ALL BETS AT THE LINE QUOTED.

THIS PRACTICE IS NOT AS SIMPLE AS YOU MIGHT THINK AND CAN IT DEFINITELY WORK AGAINST THE HOUSE IF SOME SQUARE WITH A BIG BALANCE DECIDES TO TAKE A SHOT ON SOME GAMES.

IF YOU WANT TO DEAL MULTIPLE LINES YOU MUST ALWAYS ,REPEAT ALWAYS,HONOR THE LINE YOU POST.

IF THIS IS YOUR PRACTICE,YOU MUST TAKE THE GOOD WITH THE BAD,YOU CAN'T PICK AND CHOSE AND YOU CAN'T DISHONOR THE LINE YOU QUOTE.

                    PLAYERS REMEMBER THIS.

IF YOUR SHOP HAS NO PROBLEM DISHONORING THE LINE THEY QUOTE YOU,EVENTUALLY THEY WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM DISHONORING THE WAGER THEY ACCEPTED FROM YOU.

ONE IS JUST A NATURAL EVENTUALITY TO THE OTHER FOR THE LESS THAN HONORABLE...

I think multiple lines are a big deal.

They don't affect me a bit, since I'm aware of market prices and shop for the best one. But for a casual square player with only one book, use of multiple lines will eat his lunch.

Any time a casual sports player friend asks me for a recommendation, the first thing I tell him is to be sure that the book deals the same line to everyone.
