i'm getting tired of hearing about books gettin ripped off....i was cheated about 3 weeks ago when the chargers played the raiders..stupid book had the nerve to cancel my wager and refund my balance of 200 to my acct...i had 3 team parlay that night, chargers+under+ aneheim mighty ducks=1354 payout...right after gm i checked my balance, it only showed 200......not pending or anything....so i checked pending bets, and it's been erased...now i was starting to sweat and gettin pissed...so i called the wagering line...(usually open 24 hrs) but for some reason that night it was closed...so tried customer service, it was left on voice mail also...WAS READY TO GO ON BETTORS WORLD TO TURN THESE SCUMS IN...BUT THEN I WAS SCARED I WOULDNT SEE MY MONEY AGN...finally got thru customer service and demanded to speak to supervisor...of course they said he went home already...then i started cursing that they took my bet off and i had it printed out...(lol i didnt)...then finally the guy said that he would check and post my winnings..U GUYS DECIDE...WAS THIS A MISTAKE OR THE BOOK TRIED TO PULL A FAST ONE???

Reality, we're not defending the guy doing the repeated past-post thing. That case is clear. String him up, take back those winnings.

But in other situations it can become less than certain that the player intentionally did wrong. And as the line/odds error gets smaller and smaller, it can become less than certain whether it was an error.

Books need to POST THE RULES. Post what size difference can constitute an error. Post how late they can cancel the wager (hopefully not after the event has started). Post what the book will do to try and contact the player about the cancellation.

The books have a responsibility in all this, as well as the players.

I HAVE ALWAYS USED 4 POINTS AS A RULE.

MAYBE THE PLAYERS WANT TO WEIGH IN ON WHAT THEY FEEL IS FAIR.

THIS PROLIFERATION OF CHEATS IS A PRODUCT OF THE AGE OF THE INTERNET.

FIVE YEARS AGO THIS WOULD BE A NON-ISSUE.

I KNOW THIS WILL SOUND INCREDIBLY BIASED BUT THE BOOKS I KNOW IN THE OFF-SHORE ARE THE LARGER PIONEER BOOKS.

THEY WILL NEVER LET THE PLAYER TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM,ALTHOUGH MY MAN SPIRO HAS PAID SOME BEAUTS OFF,AND THEY WOULD NEVER SEEK TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE PLAYER.

IT JUST MAKES NO SENSE FOR THEM TO PAY 100 DIME FIGURES LIKE CLOCKWORK AND THEN STIFF A GUY ON A BAD LINE FOR A NICKEL.

SOMEHOW,SOMEWAY,COMMON SENSE HAS TO PREVAIL.

Reality: Thanksgiving dinner in Jamaica; what is that by the way? oh yea I forgot....jerk chicken and rice and peas...rice and peas and baked chicken....rice and peas and rice and peas.....yummy. Hey by the way when I see all these people trying..... and sometimes succeeding in sticking it to probably the most honorable, hardworking individual I have ever come in contact with it leaves a real bad taste in my mouth. I can understand players concerns as to the gray area when we make a not so obvious error but trust me the Greek does not need somebodys money so badly that he would stoop to cancelling a wager to do it . Especially when I see him paying out $1,000,000 on a parlay winner, when I see him taking it on the chin and paying players on the e-payments thing, when we get attacted by hackers and he comes clean and make thing right.....again. This guy works 12 to 18 hr days 365 days a year and has been doing it for as long as anyone can remember. So please players unless you can show me a case where he has deliberatly tried to put one past you.....don't think that we are here,at olympic anyway, trying to put one past on you. Thanks

the book i'm talkin about is millenium sportsbook...i liked their 20%bonus program but what they tirde to pull on me was unacceptable...also i was warned by the manager a week earlier b/c i won like 1k on monday night and world series prop bets that my future prop bets will be cut..as for the fast one they tried to pull, i made two plays that night wehn my balance was down to 400...chargers+under for 1st half+ anaheim mighty ducks...chargers+under + anahemim mighty ducks...they graded my 1st half parlay loser (oak 9-0)but they totally wiped out my other winning parlay...( i guess hopin that i would forget or not realize i had winner)...now for MR. REALITY ON THE BOOK SIDE, IF THEY MADE MISTAKE, THEY SHOULD HAV GRADED BOTH PLAYS OR ERASED BOTH, BUT THEY DIDNT...AND WHAT SCARED ME WAS THEY TURNED THEIR PHONE LINES OFF AFTER THE GM...LOL I KNOW THEY'RE USUALLY OPEN 24/7...I THINK THEY HAV NASA SPORTS MEENTALITY...
