Intertops dispute

I wanted to get a BW opinion on this one.

I misread an intertops bet yesterday on the European heavyweight championship and bet a fighter to win only realizing it was only BY DECISION after i confirmed the bet.

Immediately after confirmation of the bet i realized what i had done and emailed them. i also called them first thing this morning. they have refused to recredit the bet, as per their rules.

while i understand their stated rules, i have been a loyal customer for 3 years and made an honest, honest mistake that i let them know about immediately. i even offered to rebet that money on something else immediately. they don't even offer a bet on the other side so i can just pay vig.

do you think i am asking too much?

BB, I'm always good for an opinion, but not necessaily a good one.

Without a doubt this is a bad customer service policy that they have. But I can't say it's unfair.

But I've always felt that if a book takes this policy, then they should NOT have the option of canceling a wager in case of their mistake. It has to go both ways or not at all.

I was very impressed upon receiving an email tonight stating that my bet was cancelled.

I was on the phone this morning for 30 minutes with a lady telling me it COULD NOT under any circumstances be cancelled, but i guess they came through.
