deepsouth, the tracks ziggy mentioned are dog tracks. I couldn't beleive when Carib started booking dogs. When they first started the limits were $50 WPS...now they only take $10 WPS. They must have been getting beat pretty bad...but that's no excuse not to pay.

It appears Carib is from the old school of bookmaking. The bookmaker makes a decision not to pay and whether he is right or wrong he is not willing to budge from his stand. The mentality of, "thats the way I RUN MY SHOP". If that bookmaker would only have the sense to realize that bad publicity will cost him more money in the long run. I am going to assume that we are not hearing the whole story. Why Carib does not respond to these posts bothers me. I have an account with Carib, I am hoping he responds.

None this time. However the original reason was technical problems in getting the results.

Actually their original limits were $100WPS.
I don't know what their original trifecta limits were, but now they are at $2.

It only costs 25 cents and 3-4 minutes to call a track and get results for a race ... I cannot imagine Carib refusing to do so ...

I have said it before - when a book starts refusing to pay winning bets, for whatever trumped up reason - it is ususally a sign that it is in financial difficulty ...

I also hope Carib responds ... I still find it very hard to believe that Carib, with its impeccible reputation, did this ...
The Race division of Carib is located in Belize, not in Antigua.
I actually have an HTML file of their answers
regarding the payoff problems. I will try to paste it here. The first message is the bottom one. Start there and read up.

The first response was to my asking to get paid for the race. The second question is a response to me asking them to wait until the following day to get the results from Rosnet.
I also sent them the telephone number where they could get the results from.
After they paid me for the race inquestion, I asked them to go back several days to pay me on another race they also did not pay me on. They then took back the money they paid me for the race and sent me the last response.

ziggylasvegas - At this point you need to E-mail or call Jeff at Bettorsworld and ask that he intervene. I think his e-mail is Jeff@bettorsworld.com (correct someone if I am wrong).

Jeff was very helpful when I faced a no-pay situation a couple of years ago.

I know at least a dozen people who have a combined total of a healthy 6 figures with Carib.

We all really need to know Jeff's investigation and results. If he reports that Carib has stiffed you then many many customers will take heed ...

Why are they still booking dog races where they can't get "dependable results"?

Carib is one those outs that I haven't signed out yet, which will never be a customer.

ziggylasvegas has a very serious complaint here and nobody from Carib ever bother to explain and yet they are claiming they have the best customer service. Come on!!! Don't hide and could someone from your shop at least explain your side. Don't be a coward!!

For the record, I have heard Caribs side of the story.

I'm pretty sure I know who Ziggy Las Vegas is......

Ziggy, feel free to contact me if you want to present your side and feel you have a legit case.

Without getting into specifics, some issues with the owner's character. Also, he has been known to blame everyone but his employees' for their frequent mistakes, etc. It was an easy decision to close my account.

tim, As far as mistakes by his employees, can I assume they were minor? Nothing like putting in thr wrong bet I hope. I know this is the self acclaimed #1 site for off-shore gamblers so you would think people from Carib would respond to somebody complainlng of not being paid. This is bad business and poor customer service.
